This seems like a bad idea. 16 yr old getting a tattoo in a semi-visible place, you have no idea how much you will change in the next few years or where your life is headed. I strongly recommend waiting until you are at least a legal adult.

Foot tattoos arent usually considered visible tattoos, however i can see it being a problem if you were high heels or some other footwear that does not cover your whole foot. If you think it will be a problem, then simply get it somewhere else.

I full coverage in that area, and i for me it only really hurt near the wrist. Not only did it hurt more than most areas of the arm, but it really felt uncomfortable, like the needle was going to peirce the skin and stab my veins! TBH, i never really seen a good face tattoo. Its not that they were all of shitty quality and you will end it with shit aswell, its just that they always make the persons face look goofy, strange, or otherwise doesnt compliment their face.

Tanning isnt good for tattoos either. Not quite as bad as sun burns, but frequent tanning can and will fade a tattoo quickly. You should put sunscreen on the areas of your tattoo that are frequently exposed to the sun. SPF 30+.

While i dont think it will cost $3000, it will definitely be more than $300 at a respectable tattoo shop. The spine wasnt that bad when i got my backpiece done. If had much worse pain in a few others areas.

Really though, you should be taking these questions to a good tattoo artist. Only they can give you a definite answer.

Nothing really wrong with having a deep meaning behind a tattoo. Some of mine have personal meanings, some dont. Ever since Miami and LA ink came along, many people believe a tattoo absolutely must have a deep, touching story behind it, which is BS.
