Personally, id get that covered with something much better (that heart is particularly bad), instead of just adding more crap to it. Also, the act of getting a lover’s name tattooed on you is almost cursed. Nearly everyone whon does something like that ends up regretting it, splitting up with the person in question, and/or getting it covered.…[Read more]

replied to the topic Why do people feel the need to assign meaning to a tattoo? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 13 years, 1 month ago
I suppose my tattoos do have meaning in the sense that there are all related to something i really like. My terminator skull i got because i have loved those movies since i was a child, same with alien and predator battle scene, the musical symbols on my fingers because i really like playing music on my guitar bass and piano. But tattoos dont need…[Read more]

Personally, i dont get insulted for my tattoos very much, probably because im a big, bearded guy and ive been told i look somewhat intimidating, but if anyone does get the courage to say something, they will definitely get a solid “fuck off”. Doesnt usually come to that though…
In your case, i would suggest, quite simply, standing up for…[Read more]

replied to the topic I NEED a half sleeve! in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 13 years, 1 month ago
Just got to save as much as you can. If your sleeve has a number of separate pieces, you can get one piece at a time, waiting for a bit in between until you get more money. That might soothe your hunger for ink 😀

Its really meaningless to ask random people on the internet how much a particular tattoo will cost. Each artist charges a different amount and will at a different pace. Just show that pic to an artist and ask them.

It looks great.I wouldn’t worry about what it looks like when your old. So instead of ugly ass wrinkly skin you will have colorful wrinkly skin.:D100% agreed. Your skin is going to look like crap anyway, might as well have some cool ink on it. I dont even know why that phrase is so common.

haha i love watching those videos. Mostly because i rarely get to watch others get tattooed (im usually the one in the chair), and i never get to see any freak outs or fainting in person. I wouldnt put up with that kind of crap if i was the artist though.

This has to be a joke…. but ill bite…
there are many things wrong with this idea.
1) why would you EVER get the name of someone you hate tattooed on your body? just seems very dumb and makes it seem like you cant let go and move on. Also, if being with that person ended up being a negative experience, why do you want to be reminded of it…[Read more]

replied to the topic Thinking long and hard…….! in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 13 years, 1 month ago
As far as i know, accounting isnt the most accepting as far as tattoos go. The real question is, will what you will be wearing while on the job cover up your chest? Are you also willing to dress in such a way as to always cover the tattoo up should the need arise?

replied to the topic How can I customize this tattoo? Share your ideas! in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 13 years, 1 month ago
I dont understand why you wouldnt just get a realistic lion instead. It would look way better, and im sure your artist could find a way to cover those sunspots (whatever those are). Also, the initials in the mane will probably only clutter the design and are rather unnecessary.
As for customization, there isnt much to add with this design, except…[Read more]

replied to the topic I would like to thank you guys for helping make the decision to get forearm ink in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 13 years, 2 months ago
I had a similar experience when i realized i really wanted my hands tattooed. I thought long and hard about it, read various opinions and articles on the internet, etc. I already had my arms fully sleeved, and i eventually decided it would be ok to do it. The career field im in would not really care (group home staff for mentally handicapped, they…[Read more]

replied to the topic Tattoo on forearm which way around? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 13 years, 2 months ago
I agree with the others, put it so the tip of the leaf is pointing toward your shoulder, and the stem going toward your hand. If you do it the other way, it will be a little awkward to show people. You already know what it says, you will see it in the mirror everyday, no reason to make it upside down.

I agree. If you really want 2 simple stars thats ok. But you should know that tattoos can be very artistic, vibrant, colourful, detailed, etc. Almost as much as another art medium. If i was getting a memorial tattoo, i wouldnt settle for 2 simple stars, id want something that really stands out. Think just as much about how the tattoo will look as…[Read more]

I guess you are dead set on white ink though. All i can say is, keep it out of the sun at all times, or you will lose the whiteness very quickly.

replied to the topic Small (1×1.25 inch) Outline Tattoo on Wrist – too small to see detail? in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 13 years, 2 months ago
Although i dont think the size will be too small, i think no one is going to know what it is no matter how big you make it. A simple outline of a pile of rocks is most likely not going to turn out well. I really suggest getting something that looks good. The meaning should be secondary. Like adler said, it may have meaning, but it will still be a…[Read more]
