I’m very sorry for your loss
Any reason why in thai?
You can look at internet translators but they’re risky. Essentially, I think you need to speak to someone who reads thai – it’s not worth the mistake

Just for example…
Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today. – the actual James Dean quotation (sorry, I realise i got it wrong thinking that’s what you were quoting)
Every man dies. Not every man really lives. ~Braveheart
To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.- Oscar Wilde

Heya!
Welcome. I’m pretty new as well 🙂
Few things to beware of – lots of people here offer really good advice. See constructive criticism on ideas as what it is – an attempt to help. But don’t let people simply step on your ideas either. Lots of people have cemented ideas about what they like, but that doesnt make your ideas any the less…[Read more]

Whilst I think it’s a good idea in terms of neatness, it does mean if you aren’t member of the week you can only witness the thread rather than participate, which doesn’t seem overly communal. Maybe carry on with everyone being able to ask question but start a new thread per new member?

Call me naive, but I don’t see why being good gives him the right to be a prick. If you don’t enjoy the tattoo experience then surely it’ll taint your enjoyment of the tattoo? I know you’ve had several so don’t exactly need putting at ease by an artist, but several hours being caused pain by someone you really don’t like doesnt seem ideal? You…[Read more]

Hey 🙂
What really interests you other than tattoos?
If you could have an hour to talk to one person, dead or alive, who would you pick?
How did you meet your wife? (I like nice stories 🙂 )
I might be wrong but I seem to remember you saying you went to uni – what did you study?

This might be a divider of age groups…
But I don’t know many people my age who didn’t play pokemon loads when they were little.
Not overly macho, but certainly overly awesome

Hey
I went and got it today 😀 It’s lovely, really thin lines. They were really nice, helped me relax and I am SO relieved I went there. Didn’t even hurt that much!!
Hey Gnarly…I would post pictures but I might wait a bit – I’m still in fuzzy enjoyment stage and people on here can be v critical. it’s probably not to most people here’s taste…[Read more]

Just to point out, he didn’t say it would have a week healing. If he gets it done on Weds then leaves on the 30th June that’s about three weeks….
So it’s a little more feasible. I mean, I don’t know it’s a good idea to have it in the bright sun and be swimming loads, i intend to wait quite a while with mine, but it’ll have probably stopped…[Read more]

replied to the topic Do you get tattoos for the deep meaning or simply for the artwork? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 9 months ago
Well this is being said as a tattoo virgin (till tomorrow!!!) BUT:
I’m getting mine for a lot of personal meaning, but I’ll probably only explain the literary meaning to people – they don’t need to know how each bit relates to a different part of my life history etc.
I couldn’t do it if it wasnt meaningful, but it needs to be beautiful as well.…[Read more]

I agree with AshKoshBgosh. Ignore rudeness and just carry on. It’s your skin, and if you’d still be happy with the design later then that’s fine
I think your concern is more the dangers that Sherav flagged up. If you arent in a club, then it’ll just be a tattoo, which assuming you get good quality ink will still look ok.
The real long term worry…[Read more]

if you’re into lord of the rings – the nazgul/ring wraiths. They’re a bit more wispy looking than death, wear gauntlets and carry swords

replied to the topic Reducing piercing gauge in cartilage? in the forum Pierced Skin 15 years, 9 months ago
Hey
Cartilage heals QUICK.
I wear 1.2mm studs, which are thicker than normal post earrings. if I go for a normal earring for a few days, I have to give a bit of a push to get through the 1.2 ones again.
I know 1.6 is actually quite a bit bigger but I think upper cartilage is one of the quickest places to heal

But the circles are uneven on the picture as well, in fairness. It’s the shadows on her face, and no lighting is going to give you symmetrical shadows…

replied to the topic My very first tattoo after a few days…what do you think? in the forum Inked Skin 15 years, 9 months ago
I like the colour.
And I like the design! I like small, simple pieces of ink – I’m getting mine done within the next two weeks and it’ll be little like that. I think that’s delicate and gorgeous. And you can have snow all year round!

Hey
I use the theory of locating one dimple and then clicking the other in. Otherwise I end of fiddling around for ages and giving up and using a stud…
I think CBRs look good. Better than horseshoes. But i guess it depends on the type of piercing

Hey, no, you’ve posted your picture on a forum that is filled with tattoo enthusiasts, so the criticism is going to be severe. I don’t have my first yet so I’m not particularly well versed, and I don’t think yours is worse than a huge lot I see around me at the moment. It has flaws yeah, but most people aren’t going to sit staring at it…[Read more]
