the traditional sailors swallow tattoo is based on the barn swallow which is blue with a white belly but white has never tattooed too well, (thru the skin it looks dirty) so blue with yellow belly has the standard

but when doing two birds I see blue with yellow or blue with red with a black and red bird the most

welcome, I am needle phobic too, but tattoo doesnt bother me, the needle doesnt stay in any length of time and it is very short so it doesnt set my phobia off

oils in your skin and heavy thick oil in A&D smothered it and got a rash going, wash it real good 4-5 times a day, dry it our for hours, then use the lightest coat of lotion (I use lubriderm unscented, lightest I can get)

about a week all will be fine
