Will Phoenix become the new koi, i like them also 🙂Actually, the two have very similar symbolic meanings if you think about it.
The Koi is fighting the world, swimming up stream, and if he makes it all the way he changes into a Koi Dragon.

I admire and respect your decision to take the right road to your goal.
Do you have your scratcher pictures in your portfolio as you do in your link? I don’t think that’s going to help you get an apprenticeship. Definitealy leave ALL tattooing pictures out of your portfolio, and focus on a wide range of drawings and flash that you’ve done, both…[Read more]

Thank you. I need to take a better picture; every single accent is actually a series of three fan-shaped marks. Gotta get someone to come over and photograph it better. Well, there’s an entire section of these forums that is called “Tattoos on Boobs and Bits”. We don’t mind nippl’age at all! 😀
I’m with the others on this. I see absolutely nothing wrong with those boo.. er.. I mean, with those paw prints. I don’t even see the things you claim to see wrong with them.
Obviously they could have been done better,…[Read more]

Or better yet, I think you should leave this one alone because it looks pretty good standing alone and start on some more ink up top and incorporate a new piece into it.I’ll second this. Finish the wing and start a new tattoo, either up above or somewhere else. Perhaps you can start an evil sleeve on the other arm?

Hey Nicole. Your school English is far better than Google’s version 😀
The choice for color or just outlines is obviously yours to make, but personally I say that if you’re going to get traditional tattoos, get traditional colors as well.

Ah, if you know the area then it’s a different matter altogether 🙂
As for your friend with the guy from Lightwater… make sure to give her Cornish’s number 😉

a local one you’ve found wont do it justice. How can you say that without knowing the artist. What if you happen to find out you live two doors down from Dmitriy Samokhin? Why can’t good talent exist locally?

Well, I don’t think the clef is coming through enough, and I doubt anyone could see it in there (As it is) without being very familiar with it.
Obviously your tattooist will redraw the whole thing to make it look much better, so perhaps that will take care of that.
Another thing that bothers me about this is that it’s short and fat. The G clef,…[Read more]

That looks so dreadful that I’m not sure it can be saved at all. I’m with Cornish here. Get it lasered a few times, and your options for replacement will be far better.

A quality artist should always be using quality ink, because they want their work to speak for them. Therefore, I should think that if you focus on finding a proper artist, you should have no problems with ink.

$200 for the whole thing, all the sessions? That’s a bargain. That’s little more than I pay per hour here in Iceland, and the work will hardly be better than yours 🙂

Normally I’d delete the thread, but your reply is too good to just let it evaporate with the thread, so I’ll let Closing it suffice this time.

Well David, you definitely excel at shading and flowing colors/grey, but your line-work needs improving. All the same, this looks to be well on it’s way to being an awesome piece. Very ambitious project 🙂

I’m not trying to upset you. You came into this thread erroneously spewing filth and obscenities for no good reason. That you fail to acknowledge this is your own problem, and if it upsets you to have such things pointed out to you then so be it. I was going to give you an infraction for it, but decided to ask you why instead. I am sure the…[Read more]
