That happens to me, too, and probably a lot of people. It’s funny because a while ago I thought of getting a dragon but it didn’t happen and now I’m glad I didn’t get it. Just wait, when you know the design is right you’ll know it. As you know, don’t just get something because you have the empty space, make sure it’s what you really want.

Actually I’m very sarcastic, thanks for noticing. But seriously, just find a qualified tattoo artist and let them draw something up for you. Explain in more detail what you’re looking for and see what they come up with.

Ok so im thinking of getting a beavis and butthead tattoo, i like getting tattoo’s that make people laugh like my Eric Cartmen tattoo has in the past and had alot of compliments over it.Opinions please 😀
I don’t like the idea, especially if you’re main motivation is to get this and other tattoos to make other people…[Read more]

If you’re not sure then my suggestion is to wait until you’re positive with what you want. Obviously it’s a matter of personal opinion but I’m not a big fan of tattoos with life defining quotes, especially ones from musicians. To me they just seem a little corny (is that word still used?) and belong on a T shirt. The first quote you listed is very…[Read more]

Personally I like going to different artists. I have 6 tattoos from 5 artists, and will be getting my 7th from a different artist in Sep. I like the different artists, styles, shop atmospheres and locations and like seeking out top artists for different styled tattoos. I also wouldn’t have a problem going back to one of my first artists and I…[Read more]

Normally I wouldn’t ask this but do you actually expect to be that big of a south park fan when you’re older? Do you really want to invest that much time, space and money into this? Any consideration of future employers (although you’re knuckles are already done)? Again, probably my age speaking but I would think this may be a cool idea now but…[Read more]

i actually think its awesome haha!I don’t mean any offense by this but that’s where the age factor comes into play I think. As a teenager you think it’s “awesome” and “legend” to get a shitty, free, ass tattoo but someone older like me thinks it’s dumb as hell. No right or wrong I suppose, just different views influenced…[Read more]

I’m guessing to cover that you’d have to get something pretty damn big and I’m not sure how that could be improved as is. Ask a qualified, legal artist their opinion. Or leave it as is as a constant reminder of you’re mistakes.

replied to the topic Getting my first tattoo, advice? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 14 years, 10 months ago
In one sentence you ask for opinions on what we think of the idea then you say it’s what you want so you don’t care what people think. Also, it has personal meaning to you but you’re copying it from someone else? Make up your mind. So for the record, and not that you care, but I think the idea sucks. I also don’t think getting tattoos in such…[Read more]

I would hold off working out for a couple of weeks while your tattoo heals. You wont go soft in a couple of weeks but you can fuck up your tattoo forever. Oh and welcome to the forum.Definitely follow this advice. Take some time off, be patient and let your tattoo heal.

Yeah, congrats. And I really like your attitude of trusting the artist with artistic freedom and creativity off your rough sketch. I think you’re going to be really happy with what he comes up with. Good for you, now comes the wait!

I’ve got to be honest, I really like the unique concept of this piece but I’m not sold on the overall quality of the work. Maybe I’m wrong, I’m curious what other certain experienced eyes here think.

Let it fully heal first, and you can even use a towel to cushion the bar like many people do.

My girlfriend got light- headed during her small tattoo and had to take a break. The artist actually gave her a popsicle (sugar) which helped and she was fine. I think it’s somewhat mental due to nervousness and physical if you haven’t eaten so try to realax and eat something before going in.
