Hi
I would recommend Evil From The Needle in Camden if it is your first. Great artists and a variety of styles and all of them can handle what you require.
It is also safe and sterile – don’t be tempted by many of the cheaper ones along there.

replied to the topic What is the meaning of the LOVE and HATE tattoo on knuckles? in the forum UK Tattoo and Piercing – Artists and Parlours 15 years, 5 months ago
The Love/Hate has a number of cultural meanings or individual meanings to the wearer.
There are several things to take into account – the first is that it fits the hands so they can be read easily (the thumb is often tucked away and so not easily as readable).
The most popular theme is one of religious or good and evil
Psalm 110:l: “The LORD…[Read more]

Hi
Yes ribs hurt a fair bit – when I had my back done on the edges of my ribs I really did feel the bite on there.
As for stretch marks – you are best waiting until after the pregnancy before considering such a large tattoo as there is a good chance it will end up being stretched as your pregnancy develops.

Hi
Nice poem and I would have it like this
It was time that said:
Every time you’re dead,
all your starless days,
fall to unknown grace. The colon represents a new sentence so start with a capital. (Although nobody will shoot you if you think looks better without).
The rest of the poem forms part of the same sentence although shown in a…[Read more]

replied to the topic Question for those with a PA in the forum Pierced Skin 15 years, 5 months ago
Hi
In answer to your question there is a 2 main reasons why you have the pain.
The first is that semen (cum) has a high salt and zinc content in the protective fluid that surrounds the sperm. This will sting and irritate any wound.
The second is that the penis is actually controlled by muscles that pulse at the base when you ejaculate this…[Read more]

replied to the topic Tribal Ink scabbing? in the forum Tattoo Aftercare 15 years, 6 months ago
Hi
Yes it should be healed but depends on factors such as your health and after care.
The surface of a tattoo is usually ‘clear’ within 2-3 weeks but below the skin can take upto 6 weeks to fully heal.If you have heavy scabbing this generally takes a week or 2 longer as the damage to the skin is greater and more care is needed.

Hi
I checked in my resources (I started out as a modern history student and covered the SS and the 3rd Reich). Whilst it was common for them to adopt many ancient runes that they felt represented their philosophy (usually battle or leadership related), the luck rune was one not used.
This is conjecture but the SS were obsessed with superiority…[Read more]

replied to the topic how to get rid of this rash on grey shade?? in the forum Tattoo Aftercare 15 years, 6 months ago
Hi
First of all you need to look at what you are using for treatment – some steroidal creams or other skin care products can result in a red rash.
The next part is to ask your orig artist what was in the red pigment – some do suffer from red pigment allergy similar to what you are experiencing.
My own tattoo took a lot longer to heal on the…[Read more]

Hi
In partial answer to your questions when getting a solid black tattoo the artist often has to work the skin quite a few times to get a solid fill.
Depending on the experience and skill of the artist this means that there can be a certain amount of more scabbing or a lot more scabbing.
If the area has been overworked there will be a lot of…[Read more]

Hi
Have you considered having a gothic themed fairy sleeve – in fact the traditional fables faeries whilst beautiful to look at were often associated with hidden dangers or caution.
The tale usually was around where a person would enter their court dance the night away and return to find a 100 years had passed and all they knew had gone.

Hi
Sorry for the delay I was speaking with a Dr about throat trauma and the different effects that a cut (or tattoo) would have over the adams apple. It was all down to the usual – everybody handles pain differently but interestingly he stated that the pain itself is not the most of the discomfort.
Apparently vibration over the adam’s apple can…[Read more]

replied to the topic Advice on this design – B&G or colour? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 6 months ago
Hi
I would def go colour and have you considered using the boldness of the new ink to cover the old piece for a better fit?
I am just thinking if you angle it you may need to shift the head and neck of the dragon to the side and lower more so it does not seem out of proportion.

replied to the topic Two tattoo questions in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 6 months ago
Hi and welcome
To answer your questions the oozing of ink should normally end within 3 days of the tattoo. This is because the wound has sealed up and starts to scab over to lock the pigment in place. (New skin grows over the wound).
The tattoo will not look as shiny once healed so the black may look slightly duller. This is normal because you…[Read more]

Hi
I have read the thread with interest and ok the tattoo is not great. It could be a hell of a lot worse and bigger though.
That said it can be fixed in the sense it can be tidied up and made more presentable in terms of the skull shape and the teeth, and crutches. Better highlights and shading can be added.
The wobbles can be sorted out and…[Read more]

Hi
The best thing to do is what I did for my custom backpiece.
I took in the main elements of what i wanted with varying examples from the internet and the core picture design.
I then asked the artist to go wild in his own style incorporating what I really liked.Every artist will look at your ideas and examples in their own style and will not…[Read more]
