Hi first off nice ink really did like it.
The red may scab a little harder than the rest but should be fine.
As for gym remember you have an open wound so no heavy lifting, or stretching, or tight clothing on it that will rub.
Also no pool or sauna/steam room for a min of 2 weeks (3-4 weeks if you can stretch that far to make sure totally…[Read more]

Hi
I did a project which involved a serious look into the scarification and branding of body modification.
I will be honest it is not for me personally but the key things to take into account are;
How is your health? If you have been ill (even a cold) leave it a few months before attempting either. The wounds are seriously at risk of infection…[Read more]

replied to the topic Mole where I want tattoo…. in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 14 years, 9 months ago
Hi
In answer to your question moles can be tattooed over however what most ppl who tout this fact may miss out the following points;
It can cause the mole to change and possibly develop into something nasty and cancerous. (Not in every case but would you take the risk?).
The pigment would normally be patchy or become totally rejected making the…[Read more]

Hi
As it has been said you really need to think hard what means the most to you as it is on for life.
The size and length is entirely up to you some go for chest, arm or collarbones as popular locations.The key thing is do not make the text too small as it will blur and fade with age so you still want it readable. I would suggest 12 pt or…[Read more]

Hi
The most probable cause is that the artist has reworked a significant area of skin. The tattoo is held in place by scar tissue below the surface and when you go over any scar tissue (including old tattoos) swelling and raised skin and pain is common for the couple of days.
Take some ibruprofen and it will go down in the next 2-3 days.
Also…[Read more]

Don’t worry about it you will pass out after 30 mins of screaming or so and the rest can be put on whilst you are unconcious 😀
I am only messing it will hurt but you will get through it and can always chop it up into 3 hour sessions – nobody says you have to do marathon sessions unless it is a visiting artist or very long way to travel.
Good…[Read more]

Hi
Just wanted to ask who was the artist because that is one drool worthy piece of ink!
Have to agree if you were to make a backpiece i would suggest a different design by the same artist to complement what is already there.
A symmetrical copy just doesn’t flow with the organic style (as everything is unique in biology).

Hi
I like to collect according to the style of the artist.
Once you find an artist who can do a style you like you tend to stick with them. I am going back for a second one from the guy who did my backpiece as I like his style on modern Japanese interpretation.
That said though I plan to hit Norway in the near future for some portrait…[Read more]

Hi
First of all I love religious art and ink – I can see why an alpha/omega tattoo would appeal. I have considered it myself a few times and it is really only my wife that holds me back on many of my ink plans.
That said the one you have quoted is rather plain in appearance – nothing wrong with that but take a look at examples of how they can be…[Read more]

Hi
As stated they can be stand alone pieces on each side or can be combined into an upper backpiece.
I chose to have my whole back done as one piece as biggest bit of canvas you have.I would recommend some thought on how far you want to go with your ink (as it is addictive) and maybe consider combining the two if you think you are gonna keep…[Read more]

replied to the topic Will this even out? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 14 years, 11 months ago
Hi
Once it is healed you are gonna need some touch ups on that piece. It is not a big deal and most solid colour pieces (esp black) often require this.
Whilst you can get a touch up after 2 weeks it is often better to try and wait 4-6 weeks so the skin beneath is totally healed and you are not overworking the piece.
Depends on you and the…[Read more]

Hi
Can that design work?
Yes but it needs to be bigger, bolder, and allow more room for the red to show through.
That tattoo whilst is ok has the problems of spacing (tattoos fade and blur so the thin lines will lose a lot of crispness and are very close together and this will really show in years to come).
The negative space is not an issue…[Read more]

You would think that if a person had that much ego to put the killing on their chest they would get a half decent artist to do it.

replied to the topic Megan Fox having her Marilyn Monroe tattoo removed or not? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 14 years, 11 months ago
Hi Deon
The easiest pigment to remove is black from the tattoo and it can be done a month apart in certain cases for each laser session as their is no colour involved which is harder to break down (green being the hardest).
As for your questions;
Many people use body cosmetics when getting laser treatment done to even out the fading especially…[Read more]

Hi Wardy
I admit my artist could be considered expensive (although he does cut me a discount) and he is usually booked for 6-12 mths in advance and he works 8-8 6 days a week minimum so I pay for I perceive to be work.
I am booked in for a leg piece and the earliest he could fit me was September 1 for 3 hours (and this was a as a favour because…[Read more]

Hi
Looking at the the tattoo pics it would suggest that she is having laser treatments as the sun would not fade the ink to such as it would require a laser to breakdown the pigment in the skin.
As for all the shading going in one session have to say this is nonsense – ink dispersal works at various rates and depends on;
Type of laser used…[Read more]

Hi
That piece will set you back a good $1500 (possibly more) if you want it to stretch from shoulder to base of spine and you are using a reputable artist.
As for the design it is a nice design but the main question everybody will always ask you is ‘Why one wing?’
We tend to prefer symmetry in art and it is kind of natural to think of wings as…[Read more]

Hi
Do you mean the point where your diaphragm is because that is the point where your lungs expand the chest area and stretch the skin the most.
Not so much a big deal but could be a pain for the artist to get a perfect circle if you are taking big breaths is all might have to lock your breathing a little 😉
Pain wise you will be ok it will…[Read more]
