Personally, most of my tattoos don’t have a ‘meaning’ per se, but they all express who and what I am, where I’ve been and where I’m going. The only tattoo what has a specific (LA Ink grade?) meaning, is the phoenix I’m getting, which is why it’s taking such a long time to get it right.

As the OP clearly states, that symbol (weird as it may be) means a lot to them. I don’t think that means they’re looking for a new one 🙂

All tattoos hurt. For some people they hurt very little, and for some people they hurt extremely much. The ribs are one of the most painful place to get inked FOR SOME people. For others they barely hurt at all, while other places hurt much much more.

Red is by far the most common color to cause allergic reactions (which doesn’t much please me, seeing as one of my planned tattoos is VERY red). It doesn’t necessarily have to be bad though. I guess you’ll find out when it’s stopped healing in a month or two.
