Hi Skank
The symptoms sound like you have inflamed scar tissue below the skin where the pigment is trapped. It is possible you are having a reaction to the metal content of the pigment.
Try anit-inflammatories and if that does not help I would suggest seeing a dermatologist as may need to laser that tattoo off.

Hi
Yes it is possible to get your tragus tattooed.
However due to the small area the detail of the tattoo is massively limited to basic shapes or filling in. The smaller the tragus the harder it is to get a decent tattoo on there.
You need a very experienced tattoo artist who is used to doing a lot of portrait and/or intricate tattoos -…[Read more]

Hi Kila
Personally I would look at all that skin as serious canvas and would use one arm to have an engine or even the fully bike with extended forks running down my arm with the words on eitherside.
Placement wise I would have them running down and away from you so the person looking can read it.
Get em wreathed in flame or similar and make a…[Read more]

No worries
If it was a blow out it would not have disappeared – prob just ink stain on the skin also very common.
The main thing is do not leave your ink baking in the sun for hours on end and I am sure with sun block you will be fine – don’t put tattoo goo over the sun block though – it will ruin the protective layer.
Have a great party and…[Read more]

Hi
The min you should wait is 4 weeks but better if you wait 6 weeks for a touch-up.
The ink always looks a little more faded after healing than when fresh on because you are viewing it through layers of skin. That said touch-ups are common and nothing to worry about.

Hi sorry for the delay in response.
The ink remains placed in the skin when the scabbing and or peeling has ended. By this time the pigment is locked into the skin and normal clothes/socks rubbing should not pull the ink out.
Sun cream – Ideally you should not expose the tattoo to intensive sunlight ever. We all know this is impossible so best…[Read more]

Hi
Not a dr but did take a look at why we feel pain in tattooing.
Tricep area (back of arm muscle) is actually a very tender section of the body for most.
Also there is a large cluster of pain receptors and neural receptors built into the arms as they carry out some massive functionality for the body.
Pain reception can be increased by a high…[Read more]

Hi
The tattoo is completely fixable by an experienced artist. However you are going to have to seriously bolden the lines and add to it so it makes it a more prominent tattoo.
I would also advise maybe a cover up of the writing as that is going to be difficult to salvage.
Here is a link to hundreds of tattooed crosses it may inspire yours which…[Read more]

replied to the topic skin on forearm not holding ink in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 10 months ago
Hi
If you are having issues with the ink falling out it is because the skin is being overworked and the artist is going too hard on the area.
If you have had it worked on 3 times without 6 week intervals your arm beneath the surface is going to be a mass of unhealed scar tissue and the pigment is simply not going to hold. It is the same as…[Read more]

Hi and welcome.
The thing you have to think about is that the tattoo is a permanent decision for life and can only be removed at huge cost and a lot of pain.
Always strive to get the best ink possible (even a simple text one). If you cannot afford the decent artist you want do not compromise wait and save up.

replied to the topic Do you use the same artist for all your tats or "collect" different artists? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 10 months ago
I am a collector but a fussy one.
Each artist has a unique style so I would choose which would fit my requirements the best for the type of tattoo that I want.
Also there is so many awesome artists it is something I would recommend to everybody is to keep an open mind and be at least prepared to look around.
That said it is important to try and…[Read more]

Hi
Yes it does it is never good to put sun cream on any sore or broken skin. Also there are chemicals (especially if perfumed cream) that will irritate a tattoo.

Hi
Corneal tattooing is possible and can be done usually in blue or black (some state purple can be used as well).
The issues you have is that the protective coating across your eyeball does breakdown with age and putting in pigment in theory can hasten this.
Also there is a small-med chance of corneal scarring that can lead to blinding if the…[Read more]

replied to the topic Bad idea for tattoo? in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 15 years, 10 months ago
Hi
Here is some constructive criticism.
If you do go for this image as a tattoo you are going to have to make the outlines really bold and dark and turn it into an abstract piece.
Due to the lack of detail it will not translate well into a portrait piece and will have an unfinished look if you insist on a straight copy.
This can be avoided by…[Read more]

Hi
I checked a few artists online for you unfortunately not been in person so check them out carefully.
One of the popular ones is The Blue Horseshoe – seem to do a range of very nice and bright styles – poss pin-up material there for you.
For black and shade/portrait Marco Hyder of Ocean Mystique seems to do some very nice work.

Hi
The 2 things you need to bear in mind for a project like this are;
1. I cannot stress this enough – find the right artist. No compromises, no skimping back on cost (if you love their work and need more cash save up), and no ink from a mate for a few packs of beer. If you have to wait 6 mths for the right artist it is worth it.
The artist is…[Read more]

Hi
It can be covered but will have to be big (most of your bicep) and the main body of it quite dark to cover over the ink.
You could hit it with a laser a few times.
As said something like a bull or similar with a solid colour base will cover it without laser.
That said what exactly is wrong with the tattoo? Have you considered taking it to…[Read more]
