Hi
I have to disagree I love big cat tattoos (I have 2) and I like the soft flow style the artist has used, it is unique and clearer pics would be awesome but I like what I see.
I have seen this artists work before and he always reminds of a pastel artist but does it on skin :).
Sizing wise is personal choice and I think for the size of your…[Read more]

Hi
Having studied thousands of tattoos I will be honest it is not the best I have ever seen but saying that the line work is totally salvagable.
The key part is reworking the lines so they are straighter and getting a pro artist to add fine details to the skull, claws and wings.
A good balance of relining and highlighting will work wonders.…[Read more]

Hi
There are 2 sides you need to clarify before getting inked.
The first is his level of artistic skills – have you seen his work on anybody else? Does he have a web site? Does he have a portfolio of work done?
Check out you can actually see his work before he does any – you simply might not like his style.
The second is that you can be legal…[Read more]

Hi
There is a number of themes you could go for;
As mentioned the Native American incl dream catchers or portrait
Animal/Bird (screaming eagles, old school eagle battling snake/tiger/other human, eagle in flight).
Fantasy the feather becoming a quill or ornament to a warrior/ess headband or clothing.
Asian the feather could form part of a…[Read more]

Hi and welcome.
First of all I will be honest I am not keen on getting these tats at so young an age and/or unless you are already heavily tattooed.
That said you have clearly stated your wishes and I do know of 1 studio in Leeds who would do it and are ok/good artist.
The second is a better artist but I think would be 50/50 unless you are…[Read more]

Hi and welcome.
Sorry for your loss – I also lost my parents at an early age. I can only say that with time it becomes more bearable but never really leaves you.
The tattoo is a legacy of your love for your mother so I would suggest maybe a dove with a locket or something shaped in a chain that was special to your mother around the throat and…[Read more]

Hi and welcome (yes folks I am back mwhaha :p).
First of all they are a nice collection of piercings – I am usually so/so about them having tried them and found they simply do not suit me. That said they do look well on you.
As mentioned the cheek piercings are actually a serious thing to consider;
You can have a sub-dermal implant which are…[Read more]

Hi
The weeping is plasma that is trying to form a scab over the open wound (the tattoo). Excessive plasma weep can be caused by a number of things;
A lack of white blood cells in the body usually associated if you have a known immune depressive illness.
An infection – however this would usually mean that the area is discoloured, inflamed,…[Read more]

Hi
It is always best to let the tattoo heal for 5-7 days before you do any strenuous exercise. This stops the wound from getting infected (sweaty clothes rubbing against an open wound is not good) and burning from the salt in your sweat.

Hi
My advice is work with what you have. The tattoo is not a bad one and an experienced artist can most definitely expand the features for you.
More antlers and more definition is not a tough job. This would be much cheaper and more effective than laser and a cover up.
I would also consider adding some background like a cave wall, spears, or…[Read more]

Hi
I asked my wife who is Israeli and she said the closest to Elizabeth is Elisheva (God is my oath).
I think it refers to a consecration by God which is different to a promise. The meaning changes somewhat when translated to Greek and then Latin.
Double check but I think it is spelt אלישבע

replied to the topic Sunblock in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 7 months ago
Hi
Sun lotion on a healing tattoo is not a good idea as it can irritate and damage the skin. Clothing does not block UV or UB rays which also damage ink.
Try and keep to the shade and do not leave the tattoo in exposed sunlight ( as you are actually better off avoiding using sun block on the area until it is fully healed).
If you cannot stay…[Read more]

Hi
The other thing to remember is that white is often associated with death and mourning in far eastern culture. I would possibly add to the scene with hannya mask blowing a stream of wind which can become wind bars, surrounding the geisha.
I you want an idea of scenery check out my japanese inspired backpiece might help a bit.

Hi
First of all as tribal goes it is a solid piece of work and seems to be well executed.
To get it covered up without any laser sessions would require a serious amount of solid fill and you would have to go very large to cover it.
I would suggest maybe adding to the design or going the full laser treatment to lighten before going over…[Read more]

Hi
No the key thing is communication with your artist – he wants you to be happy and wants his work to impress others.
The key thing is explain about the things that you think need touching up (not what others think). If you want to extend the tattoo there maybe an extra charge but most artists in general will do free touchups on work already…[Read more]

replied to the topic White rose tattoo? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 8 months ago
Hi
Yes it is possible but depends on the pigmentation of your skin – the darker your skin the darker the ink will need to be.
The second thing is that white does not last very well in the long term and can often fade out or become yellowish with age.
If you mix the pigment with a softer blue or violets, or similar you can create a silver effect…[Read more]

Hi
I am a big koi fan – always have been and I can see where your artist was taking this. Ie a bit of a surreal jumping off the shoulder blade approach.

Hi
As stated that area of the body is very hard wearing so you need to mositurise daily and use sunblock if heading out with it exposed.
A certain amount of bleed and fade is inevitable with all tattoos – a couple of mine have faded slightly and i am planning on reshades but I am out in the sun a lot so even with sunblock it happens.
I like the…[Read more]
