That should be okay, assuming they don’t rub much against the tattoo. Be prepared for them to be ruined though, since they might get stained through with ink and plasma.

That’s quite normal, but take care that you only rub it VERY gently… unless you want to squeeze all the ink out.

I get inked because for me it’s a form of inward extroversion.

What I mean is that I can express myself with ink in ways I can’t do in life, and I do that in a very graphic and viscerally visual manner. But despite that, nobody at work sees my ink, and nobody in general sees it anywhere unless I choose to show it.

Well, I have no idea whether or not it’s too late, but there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it if it IS too late. So just care for the tat and it’ll heal and if the vaseline did any harm (nothing is certain, either way) then you’ll just get it touched up again in a few weeks time.
