Hi
Yes piercings can have a lot of inner healing so best not to rush them a good 6-8 weeks is needed before you swap them out for another bar or ring.
If you do ring remember to have some weekly maintenance on it and give it a good clean in alcohol as it will be in constant contact with your skin and the environment.
As long as no…[Read more]

A good start and plenty of talent.
Again you need to work on proportions a little more (try sketching hands and arms from a mirror perspective).
I would also say the Budda would burst with some more shading or a bit of colour splash such as red.You def have skill and for a portfolio I would recommend the following;
10-12 pieces properly…[Read more]

Hi
Sorry but the 2 together do not work for me. The palm tree and sunset is nice (maybe have a pair of walking boots left by the shore).
Everybody I knew in the 90’s who got old English tattoos all ended up with extended rework or covers because they got bored really quick with the font.
Just something to keep in mind.

Hi
There are a number of things to bear in mind before you do this.
The first is would you openly say to all your friends, lovers, family, and even strangers on a forum that you had crabs or some other delightful std?
The answer in most cases is probably no.
That is why you don’t hear the bad shit about bamboo tattoos because few ppl would…[Read more]

Hi
If you have suffered keloid scarring from a minor piercing such as ears you are a high risk category for any other form of body modification turning into scarring.
Tattoos do not pierce all the way to the sub-dermal but can result in small bumps and scarring lumps if you suffer with the keloidal condition.
One way to measure it is do you…[Read more]

Hi
Before you laser it off have you considered getting the tattoo reworked and add some hint of colour?
It is not a bad piece actually and could easily be refreshed and polished up.

The spider is ok but I would get the pin up reworked by a pro.
I know you are prob helping a mate out as practice skin but they shouldn’t take offence if you get it reworked by a professional.
The pin up has a lot of potential in there and could easily be saved.

In response;
Adler is correct this is primarily a tattoo enthusiast forum not a licensed tattoo forum. (There is a private section on the forum for licensed tattooists but license copy needs to be sent to TS for access).
Unlicensed tattooing discussion is banned by the owner of the forum Turbo-Satan.

A tinkerbell on your neck??
Take some serious advice as I do not often say this….
Do not get this done.
Put bluntly it sounds tacky.
It is something that every wannabe thug will rag you on and every employer will think stoner for getting it done.

Hi
The simple answer is if you have the slightest of doubts don’t do it. You are the one who has to be comfortable with the choice you make for rest of your life.
There is plenty of skin to work with on your body and if the idea of wearing long sleeves is off putting then get tattooed elsewhere on the body.

Hi
When it is healed it might need a little touch-up on the outline to cover any blow-outs.
Touch-ups are often a fact of tattooing and it so you can the best out of your ink.
I would also suggest maybe some white, or white/blue, or white/silver on the skull to make the colour pop a bit more.

I had some comments passed at work (as could see my ink through a white shirt) that ‘I was not giving the right impression that the workplace needed’.
To which I responded that getting drunk at the work party, burying your face in a colleagues breasts, in full view of everybody (whilst your wife and young baby are at home), is ok? – As long as…[Read more]

Hi
The red would work well as would maybe some yellow and red in the plumage. Maybe also a bit more contrast shading.
As to ‘finished’ how far and how big do you want to go?
You could have a couple of swords or spears crossed behind the spinal column.
The whole tattoo could be embossed onto a shield as a motif by itself or as part of a larger…[Read more]

Hi
The artist I use will give an idea of how much time for each piece and I tend to pay for 3 hour slots or all in advance (he has done a lot of work on me and sometimes easier to balance my budget upfront so I know it is covered).
That said if there is any time spare at the end he will hand me the change or knock it off the next session.…[Read more]

Not a fan of skulls and personally I hate rats and would exterminate the lot of them 😀
However that is a really nicely done tattoo and placement.

Hi
They are not bad for a start – noted the lettering and shading issues, as well as a few wobbles but certainly a lot of raw talent.
You have some strong areas in the bird portrait and feather – realism type ink.
Keep at it and you will def get there.
