You should take your own advise there, moron. :pSo you’re saying you’ve never seen a well respected artist, well into his/her career, tattoo something as simple as silhouettes of bats?
Now racist, gang related, etc. tattoos, that’s a good point.
Good posts… Ami James!! 😀

It’s the same reason every legitimate tattoo artist, at least in Cincinnati, refuses to do racist, gang related, or otherwise bigoted art–you don’t want to be that guy. That guy makes no money, and is pretty much hated by other artists.

Wow… that’s way out there now. Most decent artists won’t touch it cause it’s lame? They’re there to do a job and make money. If someone wanted a dick tattooed on their cheek, the artist (any artist) should do it because it’s their job and they got bills to pay too. Your artist is an idiot. Tell me, did he happen to work out of his kitchen? Because that is some scratcher bullshit right there.
Look, all picking at it is going to accomplish is giving yourself a scar, which will make it even more of a mess. What you need to do is wait the two weeks it takes for the tattoo to heal, go to a reputable shop in your…[Read more]

I was in the locker room in my gym a year or so ago. I had been lifting pretty hard, so I needed a shower then a long stretch in the hot tub. So I stripped down, washed up, and walked over to the hot tub. These older gentlemen were getting out, so I stepped out of the way.
While I was waiting, an old man, in his sixties or older, naked, walked up…[Read more]

By having someone else draw it, you’re not depriving the tattoo artist of any money. The deposit for drawing typically comes off the final price of the tattoo. It’s just a way of making sure that they don’t draw your tattoo for nothing if you decide to go with another artist, or decide for whatever reason to not get it done.
It’s like, let’s…[Read more]

I assume this is your first, yeah? Because if it wasn’t you’d know that part of what you pay your tattoo artist for is to actually design your tattoo for you. This isn’t an inconvenience for them, it’s part of their fee and the reason you have to pay a deposit. Your best bet is to go find a reputable tattoo artist, speak with the dude, tell him…[Read more]

Grow a thicker skin? Seriously Ms. Mercury, what parallel universe did you grow up in before immigrating to ours that taught you that tattoos were socially acceptable? Have you even lived in America? Haven’t you had any problems with sweat messing with the scabs or anything?Nope. Never. Though I will admit when I got my back piece, which covers the entirety of my shoulder blades, I took a few days off, but that was mostly because it stung like a mad bastard.

There’s no reason to take off from the gym for the tattoo healing process. Yes, it’ll be sore, and the sweat will sting like three mother fucks, but as long as you stay out of chlorinated water, it won’t hurt your ink and your chance of infection is low.
I power lift. Got 435 up on the bench for the first time less than 24 hours after I got my…[Read more]

Chlorine in a pool will only hurt your tattoo while it’s healing, so avoid hot tubs and pools. After it’s healed, though, it’s 100% safe.
