Lasering might be the way to go, unless it’s going to affect your phoenix. I don’t think it has to be black, but it might have to be a darker shade of colour, not sure if a brighter colour is going to completely cover it.

How long is the verse? With tattoos, you shouldn’t really get writing tattooed too small. As a tattoo gets older, and with exposure to the sun, the lines fatten and fade, so a small font runs the risk of becoming blurred and illegible.

There’s not much I can help with, I know they’ll close up eventually (apparently), but i’m not really a fan of piercings so…
You might have to explain to them that they’ll close up sooner or later, or you may have to wait a while before joining.

It depends where you live, where I’m from it’s acceptable. I’ve never been discriminated against, and as my artist put it to a young lady who came in to ask some questions,
“If you don’t get a tattoo, you’ll be the only person in the old folks’ home without one”
