Yes it very well might become distorted and stretched as you grow and it will turn what will almost definitely start as a shitty tattoo into something even worse. Make sure the “artist” at least cleans his kitchen before doing the tattoo though.

Nice tattoo for sure. Obviously the artist is very competent so if you really want to add a little background I’d discuss it with the artst and let him give some opinions. But like has been said, adding too much or the wrong elements will distract from the main tattoo which you certainly wouldn’t want to do.

Nice tattoo, I odn’t mind the shading at all. Seems like a different piece than Bart Bingham (if that’s the correct Bart) usually does, I thought he did primarily traditional. And yeah, I thought Adorned charges 200/hr regardless of the artist, I’m pretty sure Kings Ave in NY is the same.

I agree, keep it relatively simple. The more I think about it I don’t think you should include a hand or hands, and I also think any background should be just that…a background. Don’t let it overpower the main watch design, like Arni said even a simple shadow could add depth. The artist will help work out the details with you.

Sorry but since you asked I think it’s a lame idea that will not make for a very aesthetically pleasing tattoo in my opinion. Simple or not it lacks artistic creativity, do you really just want lines tattooed up your legs? It’s not my body so do as you please but I’d be pissed if my GF got this done.
