Do lots of research on artists style you like, and then tell the artist that u have narowed down to what you want and have the artist draw and tattoo you. You dont need a separate artist to draw the sketch and another one to do the actual tattoo. Tattoo artists all started off as artists first, tattooing second (well the real ones, anyway).

Why not just wear sunscreen? A tattoo is a lifelong investment so if u dont treat it as such, then whats the point? I use lotion everyday and wear sunscreen whenever i know i will be out in the sun, i also exfoliate my skin around once a month (after tattoo has long fully healed).

i forgot to mention that based on my humble opinion that it does look like you have lost color there and most likely need a touch up. What kind of aftercare are you using? Im thinking you might be using too much or too frequent lotion/ointment. How long has it been since you got your ink and when did it start scabbing?

Wont know until your ink is fully healed. Fyi, u cant get it touched up til it is fully healed.
