I’m getting my ribs done in a month- a floral piece. I already have a cherry blossom tree up my right calf and a shit load if roses behind the gypsy lady on my thigh, so I need some new flowers. My question is, what types of flowers tattoo best? I love all flowers, so I’m open.

I’m thinking hibiscus.

Maybe a mixture?

A good artist can translate any flower into a good tattoo, but i would stay away from flowers that are mostly white.

Hibiscus are a great choice along with stargazer lilies. Hawaiian and Tropical style flowers look really nice as well.

I think any floral tattoo is really nice. It just takes a really good tattoo artist to make it look surreal. I personally have 5 different exotic floral tattoos that are in my left sleeve tattoo. I don’t think you can go wrong on the type of flower, it just depends on how it looks tattooed.
