Well, people are right when they tell you that reproducing this will be very difficult. I don’t see how that could ever be worked into a tattoo, without losing much of the details. If you want the painting picture-perfect, I seriously doubt it can be done. But I am no expert.

Well, I guess the safest way is to find an actual chinese/japanese speaking person to verify. I doubt I’d ever dare to put a foreign language on me unless I was 400% sure of what it means 🙂

To me, the ‘leaves’ look like those cartoon ants or fleas you see in Tom & Jerry and such. Basically, like a tree covered in animated lice. Just my 2cents.

Personally I’d go full detail and photo-realistic.

A prairie with grass, sky and sun in the background and the trees. A lion or two in the foreground, with birds and smaller animals in the background.
