Hi
Moisturise the area before you goto bed and avoid nylon sheets. I sometimes suffer the same with teh red in my back tattoo nothing major just an irritation brought on by heat.

Hi
As already said pure white ink does not stay in the skin very well over protracted periods of time.
I would also advise against UV inks – they have not been made for human consumption and no long term effect testing has been done on them yet. (See my blog before diving in).I can recommend Phil Webster of Skin Chaos (The Tattoo House in…[Read more]

Hi
Whilst I get the principle which will make a good tattoo my concern is the sizing. A pro artist can sketch up something clean and detailed but if you go smaller than that the details are going to be cramped and blur with time.
Talk it over with the artist as you may have to compromise on the level of detail if you want to go smaller.

Hi
It is all down to personal taste. Myself I would have a portrait done in black and shade and would get any further ones done the same.
That said I have full colour backpiece and can see the attraction.
The reason I suggest black and shade is because flesh tones can be very difficult to establish (although looking at the artists this should…[Read more]

replied to the topic Weird pain afterwards in the forum Tattoo Aftercare 16 years, 3 months ago
Hi
It is normal your body is pumping endorphins so that you will not feel the pressure of a hand or arm pressing on the flesh until afterwards.
Bruising is somewhat common after a big piece like that – my back looked like I had been beaten with the bruises.
Plenty of ice wraps and a pic would be great I love to see big tattoos as a work in…[Read more]

Hi
I have used it with no problems and was quite effective but avoid the extra cooling one you want the plain type.
Otherwise tattoo goo, black cat etc are all good.

Thanks Asenath for the post up I am useless when it comes to getting images set up right.
Also thanks for the kind comments – you do get a bit paranoid at times because I have spent so long on this piece I am constantly looking at it and thinking how best to progress.
My next dilemma is whether to get the horns coloured or black and shade…[Read more]

Hi
The artist will draw up the tattoo as part of the service they offer but if you have photos or pics of the inspiration as well as the sketch this would be a major help to them.

Hi
There are many water and vegetable based oils that can be used eg palm oil which do not contain petroleum so you should be fine.
Good luck with the tattoo and post up when you are done.

Hi
No it does not sound girly at all I am having plenty of flowers added to my backpiece. That is if you mean cherry blossoms in the form of petals?
Is Cherry Blossom a Marvel comic character?
If so you can prob have it so that she is reflected in the chest of venom distorted and such.
With the right artist eitherway will look good. (I can…[Read more]

Hi
I fully agree with Chief there is nothing worse than saltwater on unhealed ink.
If you are completely scab free then possibly but it takes upto 6 weeks for a tattoo to fully heal beneath the surface so rubbing against a wetsuit is not a good idea.
If you really must I would suggest a strong barrier cream before putting on the skinsuit.

replied to the topic Anime Girl Tat in the forum Inked Skin 16 years, 3 months ago
Hi
The issue of adding to the tattoo concept depends on the factors of how big you are willing to go.
I would suggest against a dragon as the style of the anime girl is actually modern tech as opposed to feudal or fanatasy so unless the dragon was of a tech/modern nature they may not meld together.
If you are going from scratch here is a link…[Read more]
