Now that is the sort of survey I expect from the product of an unhealthy and unbroken line of incestual relationships.
Remember to them incest is something that involves 2 non related people having sex. Also lets face it who don’t love crack?

Really depends on what you mean by reminder.
Personally you are lucky to come through it alive and that should be reminder enough.
However here are a few suggestions
Black cats – often associated with luck but also were seen as symbols of Justice and Execution and later of fertility and life.
If you like religious symbols this is a good piece…[Read more]

I hear what you are saying and it can cause strife.
Why not add to the phrase?
Through the grace of G-d my son is above all I possess/cherish.
G-d’s love has lifted my son above all.
Or something of a similar nature.
That said G-d knows your heart and would not take offence but you have to also deal with your elders and peers.

Hi
Not been to them personally when i hit Amsterdam it is usually to kick back and relax with a smoke 😉
That said checking the hygiene of the place is not difficult. If in doubt walk out.
Health permits are a good sign which means that the studio has been checked but never let that be the only check you do – you want to see the needles etc…[Read more]

Well the fact she is a good artist would be enough for me to get inked by her.
That she is a skank (disinterested or not) just adds to the fun 😀Take Care

I know of Hanky Panky it is perhaps one of the most famous in Amsterdam.
However it is also one of the most expensive and you have to wander around the redlight district which is a haven for aids and annoying bastards (usually drunk tourists).
If you want a tattoo I would recommend The House of Tattoos they are out of the tourist area and seem…[Read more]

Lol!
I only partially disagree – as said bad ink is bad ink regardless of meaning.
However I think that well executed ink can also contain a lot of deeper meaning that comes through after the initial emotional reaction of seeing great ink.
It does not have to symbolise but it can if you want it to.
Now ta-ta I am heading back for some tea and…[Read more]

What grabbed me the most was actually the shading and use of muscle definition. That really is the business. Nice choice of blue as well 🙂

Hi
If you take any advice at all do not get their flag tattooed. They really, really, hate it and find it offensive to the extreme. It is a cultural taboo – similar to the reaction of me as a Brit getting a burning stars and stripes flag – it can have that effect.
They tolerate a lot of western influence on their art but you have to remember…[Read more]

Hi
The thing with tattoos is that you will rarely get people to agree on it specifically – art is like that, it is what appeals to the individual the most.
The back is often chosen as it is the biggest piece of skin canvas we have and many like to either have a full backpiece with that as the centre or use a smaller one to build up around…[Read more]

Hi
In responser never wax on a new tattoo and use wax sparingly on healed tattoos. You rip out the hair follicle and upto 2 layers of skin with it.
It causes a lot of damage to the surface skin which is dead but provides a barrier for your ink, and that smooth feel you get is the new skin that is growing underneath.
Yes the hairs get weakened…[Read more]

The qualitative methods of survey monkey are certainly not the best.
I have suggested a wider based questionnaire which allows for motivational input but again even with this there are trends that need to be examined and challenged.

Hi
This was one damn tough one to crack and I had to bribe a mate with beer to look into some archives for me.
There is no global symbol for vengeance (it is very cultural based) but interestingly he dug up a few from the middle ages and from the occult that would make sweet tattoos.
The first is a bloodied dove – described as having blooded…[Read more]

Hi
I am actually going to endorse this survey and hope that everybody fills it in. (I am being serious).
My reasons are that there is a prevailing attitude within the circles of psychology and psycho-therapy that tattooing is related to masking a sense of low self-esteem or a feeling of ugliness that can be only removed by hiding that which…[Read more]

To be honest there is so much I do not know that I always want to learn more.
I was only an average student and it was not until my 20’s that I realised how thick I really was.I knew some facts (I had a degree and some post grad) but did not understand how they worked, or the reasons why. So now I like to broaden my horizons a bit.

Hi
No I wouldn’t worry sometimes the artist simply does not go deep enough and the ink can drop out.
Other causes are rubbing or picking the scab.A quick buzz over it with a liner will put that line back in no worries.
