I think it could work in a water colour type tattoo. The bluriness would then be a part of it. Not sure if you like this new type of tattoo style.

Or you can come to Norway 😉 Domantas is a frequent guest artist in my hometown, actually 🙂 He’s here a couple times a year I think. Too bad I don’t like the shop he visits, but what the hell. I might go there for him :p

Take Domantas Parvainis, he is only 500 euros a day but you have to travel to Lithuania. He is world class in my opinion and his fees will only go up 🙂
A lot of these so called poorer countries are throwing out amazing talent and at the moment they are still relatively…[Read more]

Do you guys always seek out the top artists or do you just use a good local artist?
There is so much talent out there now that you can get awesome artists for peanuts. I know of quite a few that are very cheap on a day rate, like 400 euros a day.
Yes you may have to travel but totally worth it!

jeff gogue sold his shop to work for off the map. said its a lot easier. i think carlos torres is in the same boat but dont quote me on that. also consider tattoo artists (and most self employed workers) have to pay for their own insurance and when you have kids or a spouse that number goes up significantly.

IMO. That Artist is a dick for thinking that. And would give me the impressions he only cares about the money, not the work itself. Would you not ask a mechanic how much the repair’s will be on the car? Or would you just let him go to town and bring you a bill and accept it? Just cause he is the best at working on that…

yeah, usually they might sit back with 10-20% of the price after expenses are covered. Not including personal living expenses. High end artists with very high prices will clearly sit back with more 🙂
