I’d add a body to it, but it could be pretty cool. For whatever reason though, I prefer the bird to be in flight.

I think the tail needs a little more length and it needs to wrap a little bit more. Just my opinion.

I’m agreeing with this. I’d have him outline all the red in real thick black. That should make it all flow a little better, and help the red pop a little more.

If it’s your first tattoo, you wont know the difference. From my experience, the worst part of any tattoo is when it goes over a bone. It’s the little section of skin right before the bone where the skin dips down just a little. IE: Under my collar bone, around my shoulder blade. Just my two cents.
