I would surely appreciate it if you spent all your money on someone else and dropped your name off Bob Tyrrell’s list. That…[Read more]

The last two ‘big boys’ that I scored appointments with needed deposits nearly that high – but neither work with long waiting lists, they only book out a few months at a time.
I can see that asking for a deposit that size means that only people willing to wait, who are serious about wanting work from that artist, actually put their name on…[Read more]

I started late, didn’t get my first tattoo until I was into my 40’s, so I don’t expect to run out of run out of room any time soon.
Although at the rate I’m going this year I better start to pace myself. I don’t know what’s happened but somehow I have been in the chair 3x since last November, another one scheduled in 2 weeks, then another…[Read more]

replied to the topic Whats better to use on a tattoo in the summer sun block or sun screenn?? in the forum Tattoo Aftercare 12 years, 12 months ago
I use a 30 sunscreen everywhere else, but a 45-60 on any tattoos. I really like the continuous spray as well, but I apply it indoors so no wind. I am so pale that if I applied it outside I would start to burn before it could even start to take effect. Melanin deficient I guess. I’ve never had a tan in my life, if I try really hard I can get to…[Read more]

Why? Why did you make me go look at what John Wayne can do??? Do you have any idea what it would cost just to fly there and back?? I could spend a week in LA, including flights, for that. It was all fine. But now I know what I’m…[Read more]

Thanks for the recommendation. I took a look at his site and I really like the way he works with colour, it’s different, striking. And a wide variety of styles. He’d be worth a road trip to Calgary from here.

I like imagining what my new tattoo is going to look like. I probably spend way too much time planning it and thinking about it and trying to picture it. Especially since I tend to just give the artist my concept and then let them run with it. I guess it is all part of the anticipation. Love the anticipation.
Then when I’m getting the tattoo…[Read more]

Well – I am by no means tiny. But my biggest tattoo is my peacock and it is totally hidden, except in swimsuit weather or shorts. He starts on my lower ribs and goes down my side to just above my knee. It took over 25 hours total, done in nine months of monthly appointments. Then I swore I was DONE. Addiction sated. No more I said. Ever.…[Read more]

Thanks guys! I wouldn’t say some of them are bad, I’d describe some of them as HORRID lol. I got most of the work done between the ages of 17-20 and didn’t have my head on…
