For a really detailed piece I would say go quite large and use the thigh area (one part) front/side/back depends on what space you have or you can fit a med size onto your shin no problem.

Depends on personal taste as to how complex you want it.

Well it really depends like all tattoos the smaller you go the more chance you have it of becoming a blob in later life.

As for noticiability most ppl will not conciously register it unless you show them and will just dismiss it as a mark if at all.

It can be fixed but will required a skilled artist to do so and will require lengthening of the f at the bottom and shadowing across the top of all the letters.

If I am honest it would benefit from a re-work to straighten the sizes and thickness of the arrows and to also sharpen the edges.

That said it is no where near the worst ink I have ever seen. It just needs a bit more tlc.
