Hi
If you are having issues with the ink falling out it is because the skin is being overworked and the artist is going too hard on the area.
If you have had it worked on 3 times without 6 week intervals your arm beneath the surface is going to be a mass of unhealed scar tissue and the pigment is simply not going to hold. It is the same as…[Read more]

Hi and welcome.
The thing you have to think about is that the tattoo is a permanent decision for life and can only be removed at huge cost and a lot of pain.
Always strive to get the best ink possible (even a simple text one). If you cannot afford the decent artist you want do not compromise wait and save up.

replied to the topic Do you use the same artist for all your tats or "collect" different artists? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 10 months ago
I am a collector but a fussy one.
Each artist has a unique style so I would choose which would fit my requirements the best for the type of tattoo that I want.
Also there is so many awesome artists it is something I would recommend to everybody is to keep an open mind and be at least prepared to look around.
That said it is important to try and…[Read more]

Excited but feeling sore – also got a nice reaction from my wife about the butterflies I added.

Hi
Yes it does it is never good to put sun cream on any sore or broken skin. Also there are chemicals (especially if perfumed cream) that will irritate a tattoo.

Hi
Corneal tattooing is possible and can be done usually in blue or black (some state purple can be used as well).
The issues you have is that the protective coating across your eyeball does breakdown with age and putting in pigment in theory can hasten this.
Also there is a small-med chance of corneal scarring that can lead to blinding if the…[Read more]

replied to the topic Bad idea for tattoo? in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 15 years, 10 months ago
Hi
Here is some constructive criticism.
If you do go for this image as a tattoo you are going to have to make the outlines really bold and dark and turn it into an abstract piece.
Due to the lack of detail it will not translate well into a portrait piece and will have an unfinished look if you insist on a straight copy.
This can be avoided by…[Read more]

Hi
I checked a few artists online for you unfortunately not been in person so check them out carefully.
One of the popular ones is The Blue Horseshoe – seem to do a range of very nice and bright styles – poss pin-up material there for you.
For black and shade/portrait Marco Hyder of Ocean Mystique seems to do some very nice work.

replied to the topic back piece changes and ideas in the forum Tattoo Ideas 15 years, 10 months ago
Hi
The 2 things you need to bear in mind for a project like this are;
1. I cannot stress this enough – find the right artist. No compromises, no skimping back on cost (if you love their work and need more cash save up), and no ink from a mate for a few packs of beer. If you have to wait 6 mths for the right artist it is worth it.
The artist is…[Read more]

replied to the topic Could I Get Your Opinions On My Tatt? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 10 months ago
Hi
It can be covered but will have to be big (most of your bicep) and the main body of it quite dark to cover over the ink.
You could hit it with a laser a few times.
As said something like a bull or similar with a solid colour base will cover it without laser.
That said what exactly is wrong with the tattoo? Have you considered taking it to…[Read more]

Hi Gnarly
What is your favorite dish? – Weeping Tiger Steak
How old are you? 33 although some days feel 103.
If you were allowed to travel to any place in the world, without worrying about expense, where would it be?
Have to be Hawaii – always wanted to visit.

replied to the topic side effect 6 weeks later? can you advise? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 10 months ago
Hi
First of all this is layman opinion and not medically qualified in anyway – I would advise a biopsy as the first cause of action. This will rule out if it is a cyst or anything related to cancer. The earlier the better.
I checked through my notes and whilst some rare reactions do include swelling none that I am aware of would produce a…[Read more]

Hi
You not be given a negative for posting an honest opinion – not everybody is going to like all ink that they see. However a negative in theory could be applied if you made the statement a personal attack on or about the poster.
Constructive criticism is fine.
As an example if you started ripping into somebody(offensively) because they got…[Read more]

Hi
Personally I think you are overreacting.
We get tattooed because we like the tattoos and not because of what other people say or think.
As for getting inked on the hip/rib area – I know a lot of males who have had that area done.
It is no different to getting an arm or leg done. You need to relax and let your ink heal and get used to it…[Read more]

Hi
The tattoo if you are going 10 inches high you are gonna struggle to get any serious detail into the tattoo as you are just portraying a likeness.
It can be done and remember a pin-up is a conceptual idea of the woman not the woman herself.
As for blurring all tattoos blur with time so that is why you might want to consider something bigger…[Read more]

Hi
I was 26 when I got my first tattoo it was a leg piece text tattoo.
Tattoo related regrets – None so far. That said my wife keeps my wilder tat ideas under control.
I clean my fridge weekly.

Hi
The Celts had a mythical being called Cailleach Bheur, which meant ‘old woman’ who was said to rule the winter months and would roam the land in a hood or (depending on geographic region) haunt the mountains bringing rain and destruction down on those below. Also known as ‘The Hag’.
The Banshee was also a hooded woman sometimes wearing grave…[Read more]
