Forgive me if I haven’t looked hard enough for a post on how the point system works, but I did search around for a thread about it for a while!

Anyways, how does the point system work? I understand how a user can gain points (it seems self-explanatory that a user gains points by being active), but how does a user lose points?

Hmm. It’s been a while since I was pretty active on this site(when I registered there was no level or point system), but I would say maybe bad rep/reported posts.

Wouldn’t the user know if the post was reported? How does someone get a bad rep? Sorry I just don’t get this whole thing…

Here you find a thread talking about the point system and how TurboSatan envisions the negatives:

and here you see the point system, and can see how many points are given for what:

Where the links are in the webtree I do not know.

Thank you very much!

I’m still curious if points are taken off for someone having a negative opinion/disliking someone else’s tattoo though? I figure if the person posting pictures of their tattoo is asking for opinions, then it shouldn’t be a surprise to them if someone makes a negative comment or states they dislike the person’s tattoo…

Well, as TurboSatan said negatives are basically something he does manually, and for bad things. I doubt giving negative feedback can be considered a bad thing.. that would basically kill all honesty.

Hi

You not be given a negative for posting an honest opinion – not everybody is going to like all ink that they see. However a negative in theory could be applied if you made the statement a personal attack on or about the poster.

Constructive criticism is fine.

As an example if you started ripping into somebody(offensively) because they got say a text tattoo and you just don’t like text tattoos that may result in some form of sanction.

Take Care
Matthew
