Sorry, but almost everything about this request is… silly.
First of all, you can’t design anything to cover anything else, without seeing it first.
Secondly, you don’t decide a date for a coverup without having figured out what you’re going to do first.
Third, you rushed into your first one and you messed it up. Don’t rush into the fixing of it. -

You’ll need a lot of laser, and sadly because you wouldn’t do it right the first time, you need far far FAR more laser than you would have… but it can be salvaged. Start your laser sessions, start saving mulah for a new tattoo, and find a proper artist.
May the next couple of years be kind to your wallet.

replied to the topic Old Tattoo – Cover up to half sleeve OR Remove? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 13 years, 6 months ago
You would only turn that thing into a sleeve if you liked it on it’s own. Nothing you could add around it would make IT any better.
So if you don’t like it, definitely go ahead and have it covered. Pain is insignificant.
The black’s gone down a bit, but I’d still say you should opt for a couple of laser sessions to bring the colors down further,…[Read more]

Do you plan on asking the same question every day for the next few weeks? ๐
Relax. Let it heal. See how it looks after that.
There’s absolutely NOTHING you can do about it right now anyway, should it be blown out, and there’s no point in wallowing in despair for weeks if it’s just a bruise.

Wait 3-4 weeks and see how it looks then. It may look fine then.

It’s very difficult to tell, and you won’t know for sure for a couple of weeks yet, but I’d put my money on it being a blowout.

Just add farflungfuture.com to your filter in AB+, and it will take exactly 0.0001 forevers to look it up.
And while you’re at it, add cloudfront.net into your filter as well.

About that portfolio, I don’t think I like it. Much of it is very strange, and some of it is very flat. It’s difficult to tell from fresh pictures, but it ‘feels’ like all his shading is overdone.
You can definitely do better, at least, but you could obviously do far worse as well.
For me, putting the lyrics next to that tattoo would ruin it,…[Read more]

replied to the topic Apprentice tattoo work in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 13 years, 6 months ago
I think it all depends on the apprentice’s abilities and where he is in his education.
That being said, without actually knowing anything about the man, no way in hell would I give an 8 hour color job to an apprentice that “has not done alot of coloring yet”.

Yes it’s a blowout, but because it’s your finger it’s probably going to fade really quickly.
