Very nicely done snake and I like the concept of it coming out of the leaf but I agree with the above post about the snake looking better than the leaf. I suppose if one is going to look better than the other, though, I’d rather the snake look better.

Trust me I know about tattoos with personal meaning, a couple of mine are just that. But you can have a personal tattoo that looks nice orone that looks like crap and will need to be covered in a few years. Sounds to me like you’re going to be settling and making excuses for a poor tattoo. It’s your money and body but to accept a tattoo fading after only 3 years and wanting to keep it hidden and looking like a scar sounds unusual.

Switch to a small amount of lotion a couple of times a day. Rub it in but be gentle and don’t peel it, the flaking is normal but let it flake naturally.

It’s not recommended to get an all white tattoo…as an artist has already told you. Different people take white better than others but generally speaking it’s better as an accent or highlight than a main color. Be patient, don’t necessarily stress over getting something with some kind of deep meaning. Believe it or not, some people actually get tattoos just for the artwork. Start with what interests you and go from there. Follow the above suggestion to do some reading and look at alot of galleries to see waht style you like and general images. Again, be patient.

Just trying to be helpful. Despite what it may mean to you, an outline of a pile of rocks will look like crap. So basically you’ll have a meaningful tattoo that looks like crap. Just suggesting you give it a little more thought so you’re not back here in a couple of months asking how to cover your wrist tattoo. Good luck though.

I don’t think I’d wrap it but have a loose fitting t-shirt between the uniform and tattoo, you can always ask the artist what they think. If you have a break at work, maybe try to apply a little ointment or lotion so it doesn’t get too stiff but obviously be careful with it.

Well I definitely wouldn’t put it on two legs. Or of course you can also come up with a more artistically creative design to represent the words and the personal thing in your life rather than just some boring script.

I don’t want to sound judgmental but depending on the size and design it may be a little feminine looking. Depending on what you’re getting maybe you can consider going a little bigger and higher on the side of calf.
