The line work is real bad there are start and stop points everywhere there isn’t a smooth clean line on it.

It is probably salvageable by a good artist but they will need to rework the whole thing.
Did you look at the tattooist portfolio or did you just get who was available?

Just add some stuff around it like filigree, flowers, hearts,skulls,dead animals, food ect. as it is it looks pretty boring

When I give them the very basic idea with no guidelines and let them run with it is when I get the best tattoos.

Well do you want it color or black and grey? What side of the country are you on? If you are going to Apocalypse tattoo I would go with Benjamin. I follow Dan on FB and some of the stuff I see from him I think huh! It may just be his complete lack of ability to take take a good picture.
