first post here… and it might be a bit noobish so I apologize in advance 🙂

Im finishing up my japanese sleeve and am now with a new artist and have some concerns around the b&g part of the piece.

The black work here seems a bit rough, as in it looks like I can actually see needle holes(needle chew?).

same here, not smooth.

You can see the same sort of roughness here.

I have a session this sunday and I feel like I should bring it up but not sure if its something that my guy already knows about and is planning a second touch up pass? What do you guys think?

Those windbars and shading are very rough. Might have to go to artist number 3.

To me the shading looks ok but the line work is as wonky as hell. Move on to a different dude.

thanks for the response man. Im not looking to change artists as his line work, color and his *other*;) black and grey work is solid as hell.

I probably should have also mentioned that its been about a week and a half since the black and shading was finished and I vaguely remember it taking around 2 months for my other greywash to actually smooth out though I am definitely going to ask him about the roughness… its only in those areas too, which reminded me that he was having an issue with the original shading needle(one of the needles in the pack was sticking up like 1/4in higher than the other) and he changed it out.. the other areas are smooth where its with the newer needle…

like these two, these are on the under side of my arm after the new needle was used… significantly better. btw, power lines are going around the edges of the mum:p

Chalk that up to my close ups, above you can see more of the line work. its solid. Ill probably create a thread for progress after this sunday, inside bicep is getting outlined and maybe shaded.
