to have it as it is right now then it would look unfinished, there is too much white open space, you could always get the artist to add some subtle extra into it, and with the right artist then it would be superb.

a lot of artists still wont use them because of the risk factor, there dont seem to be a lot of reassuring avidence to say they are 100% safe to use..

print the picture off and use some tracing paper 😉

it sounds to me like the blue into the yellow could possibly be re-outlined with blue to sculpt it out and tidy the mess up, and there is no way that blue will cover the black, but subtle shading might reduce the problem…. its easier to give best advice with a good quality image to view
