Another way to get an artist to pay attention to you is cash. Don’t be a dick about it but let them know that you know you are asking for something that might be uncomfortable and you are willing to make it worth their while if they take the time to fix it. Is it possible? probably. Should you get another tattoo based on something that will probably be irreverent in 5 years? your call.

How many artists have you visited? If you aren’t sure wait until you are. Keep going out and looking for people that do great work in your style… If you want a japanese flavored tattoo and you find an amazing pin up artist you have not found the right person for your tat.

It’s supposed to be a process… enjoy it! Get out there and meet some people.

I don’t know… there’s nothing wrong with him but I don’t see anything that makes him truly special or over the top talented. I would give him a 5.5 out of 10.

Two thoughts:

1)Before you get that tattooed to your body you might want to look over the grammar of the tat. Is this a direct quote of something? As it reads it doesn’t make much sense- there is no subject to the first half of the sentence and the comma is not needed.

The 3d parts of it don’t pop the way they should, the water doesn’t look right and the scales are all out of whack. Add to that the goofy looking flowers/airplane propellers and it just doesn’t come together. It’s not the worst I’ve seen but it’s a 4 out of 10 at best.

I’m not sure I see vintage in the items you have listed for your tat. It looks to me that they are more time based, with the exception of the sugar skull. Maybe you should run with a time based tattoo- Clocks, Hour glass, pocket watch in the background could be made up of gears and stuff?

You are supposed to wash it three times a day. Wash it before your shift starts, and then as your shift ends and then before you go to bed. Luckily, 24 is divisible by 8.
