How old is you ink? Not trying to be rude, but you ink seems to be of very low artistic quality.

Yeah going to the library and looking up some Japanese art books, such as a history book or a view-book would be a big help.

What inspired that piece?

1- You didn’t break any rules. Posting pictures are fine if promoting discussion, or making a reference to. So you’re good.

I’d say go for about 6 inches, so you don’t miss out on details. Also, many people go too small for their first and ofen wish they would have had it bigger; so going for 3 in in my opinion would be just too small.

With that said, I couldn’t see you paying any more than $175 for that piece.

Or just go in and ask some local tattoo artist. I’m sure they can point you in the right direction if there is an artist capable of doing those for you that is in your area or near by.

I’m a big fan of skulls.

20 pounds isn’t anything.

During high school I would go from around 320-310lbs for football to 285 and under for wrestling season and the tattoo on my collar bones/chest never looked any different.

As for your arms, you’re fine. Unless you plan on adding 6-12 inches on the girth of your arms lol.

Just think about your ink, because once you get “the bug” you’ll get worked on just for the sake of being under the needle. Lol.
