Be patient, be a little persistent without being a pain in the ass and have a creative concept the artist would actually really be in to doing. Sometimes if you can catch a top artist at a convention you might have better luck.

I have no idea who or what Escher is and the only artist in Ohio who immediately comes to mind is Kyle Cotterman.

I remember what you’re talking about but don’t know the artist’s name. I’m pretty sure it was posted by a temporarily banned member, yodaddynukka, so if you can find that user’s posts and search maybe you can find it.

Damn, there’s just too many to name but I’d probably start with anyone at Smith St. and Lotus in NY. Plus Bailey Hunter Robinson and Grez for neo-trad..

To be honest I’m personally not a fan of the design which basically consists of a bunch of black lines. I understand the sentiment but for me I prefer a more visually and creative image rather than an elaborate tribalish design. I said this in another thread but there are obviously some great artists in NY with varying specialties so it depends on what you’re looking to get in order to acurately recommend an artist or shop.

Meh, looks ok but sorry I just don’t get why people get tattoos of their name or initials. To each their own I guess.
