Cecil Porter is incredible, everything he does is great.

Whatever you do I don’t think you should make a decision based on some internet meaning of koi and colors, etc. But personally, I don’t thik they’d go together very well.

You have the reference now find a fantastic artist who can do pinup girls and let them do a drawing for you. Or go through Gil Elvgren and Vargas portfolios for more examples. Search hard, not every tattoo artist can do good pinup tattoos.

This subforum should be eliminated.

Usually artists don’t suggest using sunblock until the tattoo is fully healed, after about a month or so.

Go with the entire eagle, there’s some amzingly well done eagle chest pieces out there you can find. I don’t like just the wings and definitely lose the name!!!

We can suggest a good cover up artist if you want. I can also recommend a friend of a friend who tattoos at their house and you can get some tribal or script real cheap. Just sayin…

I really should do a better job protecting the tattoos on my arms from the sun but I’m too stubborn. I ride my motorcycle a lot and often wear sleeveless shirts and although I always use lots of sunscreen I’m sure my arm tattoos won’t hold up the way they should. That’s one reason I won’t get color tattoos on my arms.
