Yeah use an ointment like Aquaphor (although main ingredient is petrolatum) for the first few days then switch to a lotion such as Lubriderm, Curel, Aveeno unscented. I like using 100% shea butter.

Interesting comment on the rose. I tried debating with him about doing it more realistically but this is the style of flowers he likes to do with old school tattoos to fit the piece. It’s already grown on me, I like it’s uniqueness.

That’s my thing, I hear it’s recommended but I cant understand the reasoning. If fresh tattoos are supposed to avoid too much moisture and soaking how can it be beneficial to wrap when it will sweat and soaK? I just got a tattoo, I’m doing mostly a dry heal right now because I’ve been too skeptical to wrap too much.

That’s an amazing artist list at that convention.

I would also advise against going all black. Find a good artist that can do good black and grey shading so there is some contrast so it doesn’t just look like a black stamp of ink.

I know one thing that’s already been done is this thread…in other words one thread on this topic is enough.

Looks pretty good so far, lady heads are often hit or miss but I like this one. I agree with mrchen about the tattoos on her arm, I might have omitted them myself. And I can’t tell but her left hand/finger spacing looks off to me.
