depends on where youre located, but i think in UK bethapen is a popular alternative to aquaphor.

Kudos to you to get such a large tattoo on a super painful location!

Everyone has different methods to aftercare. The basic one is:
– wash 2-3 times a day. Blot dry tattoo with clean towel. Use a very thin layer of aquaphor or something similar over new tattoo.
– once your tattoo starts to peel, keep washing 2-3 times a day, blot dry tattoo, then switch to thin layer of unscented lotion.

a unique touch to the classic koi, looks good. the line work is a tad bit inconsistent but i think in the end the piece will look great. keep us posted.

Yeah dont worry about some of the wonky lines. Even the best of the best do it. Whats important is the main outlines are solid. Those “wonky” lines can easily be fixed with shading and/or color. Is this piece going to be b/g or color?

In her defense she booked the trip before i asked carlos about ink n iron. Either way im officially in the books for november but i been dying to get this piece started! Looking at everyone getting work doesnt help…

I feel like as long as you keep your body and “canvas” healthy and keep your ink protected, fine detail tattoos will hold up a little longer. This means eating right, hydrating yourself, staying fit, moisturizing your skin, using sunscreen, etc. Of course this is just my theory and i will let u know the results in 30yrs!
