More important then what to get tattooed is who you have do it. Were are you located we may be able to help gudie you to an awesome artist.

For your first and being a diabetic I would get it on your upper body and avoid the legs. You will be just fine you just may heal a bit slower. I also got my first at 40 now I can’t stop.

3 to 4 weeks it won’t kill you to miss that time at all but it will kill your tattoo if you don’t.
