Hi
I never said that they were self inflicted – I was asking whether he had got over how they got there (even if they were done by somebody else the emotional effect of been cut up is not easy).
Also the armed forces look for signs and make assumptions so if you have razor or similar scars on your arms they will most likley assume they are self…[Read more]

Hi
From personal experience most scars can be tattooed over with the exception of skin graphs which are under 12 mths old (even then it is so/so) or deep burn scars.
The more raised or very deep scars can be difficult and will require 2-3 sittings.
Most surface scars are quite easy to cover.
That said I have to put the question have you healed…[Read more]

Hi
Well you could have it bursting from a pile of voodoo pin cushion style dolls or rising up from a coffin, or leaning over a worn and aged tombstone.
Could have it from the hanging tree with a raven holding bits of the flesh in it’s beak.

replied to the topic Is the white rabbit a racist symbol? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 15 years, 4 months ago
Hi
If it is any help the white rabbit is not a mainstream symbol of white supremacy or neo-nazi symbols.
I know of the white rabbit site and frankly to take them seriously would be to wrap tin foil around your head and wait to be probed by little green men.
The 99% of the population associate the white rabbit as part of Alice in Wonderland and…[Read more]

Hi Danny
Q1. The tattoo will heal and the flaky skin that is blocking the ink will peel away leaving the tattoo fully visible.
That said it will not be as shiny as when first put on as that is pigment showing in an open wound, once ehaled the ink is covered by layers of skin but is still very visible.
Q2. It is 50-50 according to personal taste…[Read more]

Hi KH
Whilst it is possible for him to get tattooed it is not ‘safe’.
The dilated cardiomyopathy means that the weakness of the heart and ventrical can in theory result in the following problems;
Too much strain put on the body caused by the pain of tattooing or the stress in general – causing the heart to reach into the overstretched cardio…[Read more]

Hi Gsouder
The post on the origins of the change of the word gay is just me messing about with the idea that ppl sometimes look at something with a partial envy or a throwaway comment and like memes they catch on.
There was nothing serious in the content of it. It was just humour that we tend to label everything and sometimes the origins of why…[Read more] -

Hey Gsouder
We cannot blame those who are homosexual for stealing the term ‘gay’ – after all it was heterosexuals that pinned that term on them and they adopted it.
I think it went like this;
2 men sat in a bar and are bitching about their wives nagging. They see 2 other men walking out smiling hand in hand.
One turns to the other and says ‘I…[Read more]

Yes I would get it reshaded and added to with more detail.
The thing with laser is that it is expensive and very time consuming because you have to wait between each session for it to kick in some you are talking a min of 6-8 hits for that piece which is better part of a year.
The other factor is that whilst it may mean slightly more work for…[Read more]

Hi Simply
Yes seen stacks of that type of problem and it is a mild swelling caused by an infection of the piercing often common and also can get them with nose, lip, eyebrow, and genital piercings.
The above post was checking for a sebaceous gland infection or cyst which are really icky and can be dangerous if left untreated.
As it is it don’t…[Read more]

I am sure it is the lyrics to Dave Matthews Band ‘When The World Ends’
When The World Ends Lyrics
When the world ends
Collect your things
You’re coming with me
When the world ends
You tuckle up yourself with me
Watch it as the stars disappear to nothing
The day the world is over

Hi
I think what you are referring to is the closed-lotus form. often looks like a ball or can be also seen to be partially open.
This is a Buddhist symbol and represents spiritual essence or energy that is inside every living thing.
Some myths believed that different dragons could harness the power of these balls to control winds, rain, earth,…[Read more]

Hi
I am not a Dr but yes your body is fighting an infection where bacteria or dirt has got into the wound where your nipple is.
The difference between body cheese and an infection is easy to tell by the pus that is coming out of it. If it is leaking any clear of milky fluid that smells or stings as it comes out you have an ongoing infection.
If…[Read more]

replied to the topic ink and branding??????? in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 15 years, 4 months ago
Hi
I have seen many examples of branding and if you don’t want to go down the laser route you are best having the branding done first.
The reason for this is that branding is not an exact thing and the scar from the burn will only conform roughly to the shape of the brand if it is a traditional brand not strike branding or cautery…[Read more]

Hi
The tribal looks fine and as stated above can easily be worked into the rest of the tattoo. You are fortunate that the artist who put the tribal on did a decent job otherwise it would really stand out badly.
As it is it is a decent tattoo but your tastes may have changed slightly work some clouds or similar and reshade the ink and will make…[Read more]

Was there anything in particular you loved about your dog – a favourite toy, collar, or have you considered going a bit bigger and getting a portrait of the dog?
All of your other ideas would (and do work) well – but with all memorial tatts consider every aspect carefully before committing.
For me personally I would go for a collar with all…[Read more]
