I checked out Jesse’s work. It turns out we have several mutual friends on Facebook.
Although it’s not a style I would choose, his work looks fine.

The first step in getting a great tattoo is finding the artist that can do it. I don’t know any artists in the UK.

You might try looking up “abstract” tattoos. (That is a black and white photo. Is the tattoo colorful?)

That photo your link goes to shows up in color when you google abstract tattoos / images. It is all black ink.

Most places where the bone is closer to the surface are more painful. Chances are it will be worth it. Just get a great tattooer and get a tattoo designed specifically to fit your body.
