It’s a bit of a weird concept, cycling inspired biomech and loads of skin rip which it seems only I like!

If all goes well I’ll be putting pictures of my tattoo up at the weekend as it was finally finished off last Sunday and is well on the way to being healed.
Started it last June so I’ve been dying to get it finished.
No-one will like it but I’ll post it anyway!

My old Mum has Alzheimers, bloody awful, very cruel disease.
Seems to be ignored by most people as “it’s just something old people get.”
Congrats on your Son though and condolences on the passing of your Grandfather. Although I’m not a huge fan of loads of deep meaning behind tattoos, that is powerful stuff -

Go and chat to your artist about it, they’re the people best placed to redraw it to how you want it.
EDIT: There’s a link in my sig that explains it better, it’s not that people are being unhelpful, it’s just the only honest answer

The Koi does look a lot better but still looks a bit bland compared to a lot of others.
It may be worth starting a new thread asking for artist recommendations where you are, put a link up to this artist and get some more opinions.Good luck,
Chris

The PC here is really slow so it’s difficult for me to look through them properly but, to be perfectly honest, some of them are awful but it’s hard to tell who’s are who’s.
Is this one of hers?

Personally, I’d chat it over with my artist.
They’ll know what will work, what won’t, and chances are they’ve done lots of playing cards before so will probably have some good ideas. -

Welcome to the forum ๐
Really sorry to hear of your loss though, condolences to you all.
I don’t personally like text tattoo’s but, it sounds as if you’re very happy with the ones you currently have so it would seem one option would be to get your brothers name on you in the same style.
A portrait is another good one, but you have to get a…[Read more] -

That is spectacular work.
I think I’m quite lucky “getting into” tattoo’s a bit later in life (pushing 40 now) as I have plenty of canvas and a little bit more disposable cash.
I can see me travelling a fair bit on the future to get inked but there’s no rush, I’ve got the rest of my lifeI’ll be keeping an eye out for this guy though ๐

Cheers all ๐
He’s actually booked for the whole of 2012 and has closed his books. I think the only reason I got in is that I’ve spent a lot of time and money in there being inked by the owner, Jim (David’s old mentor) otherwise I don’t think I would’ve been so lucky.
He’s also very picky about what he takes on at the moment because his demand…[Read more]

Sounds like you’re going about it exactly the right way ๐
Yes, I endured a lot of stress making the final decision whether to go through with it or not, as well as trying to find artists, researching ideas etc, very glad I did now!
The only thing I would add is that I’d lose the text, the flower symbolises the words anyway by rising to the…[Read more]
