I truly feel bad for you dude. Although you should’ve done your research, it’s still hard to believe a “professional” in a licensed shop would be that bad..That’s bad on so many levels..

Looks great dude I like it. I also have so much shit planned, but financially it isn’t possible right now. I want full sleeves, full back piece, chest, legs, etc. I have a badass idea for my back, but it will cost a lot.

Oh, that’s a guy. Yes, I agree with the others regarding the shading. It looks incomplete. I’d either go back to the guy that did it and tell him to properly shade it, or find someone else that knows what shading is. It doesn’t look terrible though.

I have 2 big pieces on both my arms from shoulder to elbow on top. They are both B&G, I probably won’t ever do color. I’m just not a fan of color for some reason. After I finish this piece and the dragon on my other arm I’m thinking of doing some egyptian shit.

Here’s an almost finished pic. Sorry about the bad lighting, makes the white really shine. The dragon still needs shading and more whites probably. I think it came out great. These were taken about 1 hour after.

I see your points, but I still like it. The line work on the hannya is nice, but it’s also traced right out of a book so I’d expect it to be damn near perfect. I’d like to let the same guy shade it, but he’s too expensive for me and canceled another appt on me.

I actually like the “antlers.” I wasn’t sure about them at first, but I think it gives the dragon a little more character per se, rather than your typical horns. I can’t wait until it’s finished so I can add some more shit and start working towards a full half-sleeve. He’s shading my hannya on Friday and I’ll probably add some japanese…[Read more]

Thanks, me too. I’m probably not going to have color done actually. I like the black/grey look. I might add color later, but I doubt it.
