Be careful not to over moisturize, that’s not good either but a very common mistake. 2-3 times like you were doing should be plenty.

I’m not sure but I do know I’m not a big fan of word tattoos, unless they are few and accent an image. To me a poem would be too much writing and if you used words instead of lines like you mentioned I think it would look like a blob unless done pretty big. Maybe you can use something like flowers or symbols to represent the birth months or…[Read more]

Very nice, I’ve seen many not done nearly as well. If you don’t mind, who’s the artist?

I don’t know, definitely talk to Litos about the ink. Two days is quick for peeling to start but I still say don’t rush to judgment until it’s fully healed. And be careful, you say you think you let it get too dry but too much moisture isn’t good either. I know people that have successfully dry healed an entire piece so again, wait until it’s…[Read more]

I’m not sure if I understand correctly but are you saying you’re getting the same quote down the right and left sides of your body? If so, I think that would be lame. Personally I’m not a huge fan of script tattoos but they can be done nicely so to each their own. Also, as mentioned, the tree link isn’t working but be careful you’re not cramming…[Read more]

NY is loaded with great traditional style shops and artists. Some that come to mind are:

Also, look up Chad Koeplinger and Bailey Hunter Robinson. They travel a lot but are two of the best and based out of NY.

No problem, and if you’re still thinking about NY, these guys are pretty good too…David Sena and Rodrigo Melo at North Star Tattoo.

Interesting concept, pretty cool. I’m a strong 2nd Amendment advocate, also (mainly handguns), and have wondered about an appropriate representation also. I might just go with a traditional style revolver or flintlock and roses or something.
On a similar topic but non tattoo related I just went on a tour of the Smith and Wesson factory and museum…[Read more]

I’m not a woman but you certainly don’t want anything like a bra strap rubbing against a fresh tattoo during healing. Either adjust the placement of the tattoo, use an alternative for a regular bra or plan on going braless for a little while. Maybe there’s a female here who will offer a different opinion or an alternative solution but that’s my…[Read more]

It looks like if you go to a good artist it should be able to be covered from this point. It really doesn’t look too dark so covering it shouldn’t be that huge of a problem, although th enew piece would have to be good size and bold. Research local artists and find someone who is comfortable doing coverups and also a reputable, skilled…[Read more]
