It was hard to actually find any work that he has done not just things that say how great he is and all the celebs that he has tattooed. From the work that I think may be his it looks pretty solid but nothing as good as his reputation/ ego would seem to suggest.

Don’t get any words. Remember a picture is worth 1000 words. Just leave it as symbolism we don’t need to put text on things to explain them as the tattoo is for you and you already know what it is for. Sorry for your loss Cancer sucks.

Looks like it may be a blow out but it is hard to tell. You will have to just wait a awhile until that heals completely (months) to be able to know for sure. Sit back and relax there is nothing that can be done about anything now. Your aftercare did not cause this a blow out happens at time of tattooing.
