The tattoo is an open wound, susceptible to cracking and all that, but most of all to infection. Although it’s far from ideal, as long as you keep it clean I guess you should be okay.

Got a P-Bass myself, and have been thinking I might get something like that tattooed on me. But it’s difficult to choose just one of my instruments, and I can’t bloody well have them all! 😀
