Hi Lynny
Congrats on your enagement – I personally think marriage is a great journey.
The tattoo will ahve to be somewhat larger if you want to add the word within it – this is to stop the tattoo becoming a blob of ink as they do blur slightly as you get older.
They need to be redone every 10-15 years or less if in sunlight.
As for design -…[Read more]

Hi
What Apostle was getting at was that discussion of tattooing techniques that can be used by an unlicensed tattooist (by reading the instructions on the forum) is not allowed.
I believe there is a section on this forum where licensed artists can have privat discussion (if it is still active) alternatively you can click on the signature of…[Read more]

Hi
Looking at that pic it looks like the area may have been overworked a little and then rubbed by your clothing which has irritated it further. 🙁
You will need to keep it sterile and make sure no infection gets into it. I would also advise against wearing anything tight that can cause it to sweat as bacteria can build up in it. You want a…[Read more]

Hi
Best way to think of it is like a hot buttered crumpet.
You smear on a stack of butter and turn your back and all the butter is gone leaving only a small smear on the top. This is because it has been soaked into the pores of the crumpet, so when you bite it you can feel all the butter on the inside.
Well a tattoo is the same. Your epidermis…[Read more]

Hi Jarhead
I have been following the trend with interest as I visit Israel quite frequently and was quite suprised at the increase of ‘open tattooing’ from the 90’s to present.
It has always existed but tended to be an underground thing and was very much considered the ‘western curse’.
That said as you know the Hasidim (all sects) will not…[Read more]

Hi
I have a good friend who is fluent in Chinese and worked as an interpreter and translator. I will ask him what the character symbolises in terms of your questions.
It will take me a few days as he is away on business.

replied to the topic Outline thickness question in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 17 years ago
Hi
Outline thickness is a personal taste – many tattoos with a thick boldness are usually associated with a masculine feel to it.
This is usually because more ‘feminine’ style tattoos tend have a lot of fine and/or slender details such as butterflies, fairies, flowers etc.
Some prefer bolder I prefer fine outline on my tattoos and often get…[Read more]

replied to the topic Bruised feeling in thigh in the forum Tattoo Questions and Experiences 17 years ago
Hi
It is normal because there has been a lot of pressure applied to the muscle – much of the ‘damage’ is below the skin as the ink has to settle in the lower dermis to hold in place.
Cramp and soreness in the muscles is usually associated with long sessions – not everybody suffers but some do (including myself).
Also if the tattooist was…[Read more]

replied to the topic Two Tattoo Removal questions (didn't see these anywhere) in the forum Tattoo Removal Discussion 17 years ago
Hi
In answer to your first question it is very unlikely to make it easier for 2 reasons;
1. The ink will be adding more pigment on top of the orig pigment which is held in the sub-dermal layer of your skin. This means it may look black on the epidermis (top layer of skin) but the sub-dermis (or dermis) underneath will contain traces of both…[Read more]

Yes re-reading that I see what you mean Outlaw. My nasty side just took a stroll along the forum board.
