Hi
As a guestimate I would suggest saving around $600 or so for a piece that big.
If you click on my sig I have written a chapter on decisions to be taken before tattooing that may help you many of the common pitfalls of the first tattoo.
It also shows you what to look for in a studio and artist.

Hi
The best way I see it is if you have the centre piece outline done in bold then subtle shading in the inner parts will really bring the buckle out to the naked eye with the tribal around it as a decorative piece.
The outline will bolden the buckle as it will not be thick tribal lines and the shading will make the eye adjust and focus on what…[Read more]

Hi Mike
I am sorry for your loss (I know it can annoy when people say it but having lost most of my family by 22 I do know how the pain feels but not as deep as that of a child – you have my deepest prayers).
Onto a more positive note that ink is very nice and does justice to your memories.
With regards to your son why not have the monkey…[Read more]

Hi Marcus
My concern is what chemicals are touching your skin? (Benzoates, alcohol, parafin, diimethyl sulphoxide etc?)
If they can damage your ink that quickly you maybe at risk of dermatitis or worse – you need to check out your health and safety. My advice is wear protective overalls on your exposed skin such as plastic sleeves – whilst i…[Read more]

Hi
The key to good tribal is that it has to fit the contours of your body so an artist will ideally need to measure you up so that the stripes are in proportion.
A piece like that (which is body paint on the picture so may not look as glossy when done as a tattoo btw) will set you back a couple of grand at least.
The thing about your back is…[Read more]

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Sleeves can grow from the joining of 1 or 2 pieces (or more) or they can be done as a singular expression of art.
My advice is if you have pieces already there then plan around them and see what can bring them together or a filler piece that sets off all of your tattoos.
Take care

Hi Marcus
I have not personally used H2ocean myself but it has been given the thumbs up in a lot of tattoo magazines and seems to be very popular.
Looking at the ingredients it seems fine to use on sensitive skin.
I am not really one for promoting products but I have to say tattoo goo was the dogs bollocks when i got my hands on it – my mate…[Read more]

Hi
I got a case of ink envy here the upper part of your arm is fantastic – I love the flow of the linework.
I would only ask any chance of clearer pics and some close ups so I can see the linework in more detail?Who was the artist?
The forearm is not that bad at all – seen hundreds which are way worse.
I would advise maybe a rework of the…[Read more]

Hi Marcus
It is never a problem – the reason I love this place is it sets me challenges for my mind and we all benefit from it.
Yes I had the same problem with the whiteheads and red bumps for ages then i cut out drinking sugary drinks and my skin cleared up in no time at all.
I still get the odd spot (doesn’t everybody) but for my face and…[Read more]

Hi
I am more than happy to help with your search for a sleeve.
I just need a few more details as there are literally hundreds of examples on the internet and in books so we will need to narrow it down a little.
How many tattoos do you see yourself having 3-4 larger pieces or many more smaller ones?
What sort of genres are you thinking of?…[Read more]

The problem with acne is to do with the sebaceous glands which are located beneath the hair follicles on the skin.
They produce a substance called sebum (this keeps your skin and hair moist) and too much can create the spots. Normally it pushes up through the hair onto the surface of the skin keeping it healthy.
Everybody has a bacteria known as…[Read more]

Hi as already said a pro artist is needed and the tattoo will need a rework.
Hands are rally tough on tattoos because of the amount of wear that they get so it will prob need regular touchups to keep it looking fresh.
If the ink fell out it looks like the artist did not go deep enough.
Was it the outside of the hand you had done?
If it was the…[Read more]

Should be right hand side of the screen at the bottom.
Might depend on which screen version you are using – I prefer the standard fluid setting myself.

Hi
First of all you don’t want any tight clothing or bandages on it once it has stopped bleeding – you will just breed bacteria.
Let it air so the polo shirt is a better option.
It will need washing at least 2x per day but if you are able take some bottled water and rinse midday and pat dry with a clean towel.
Tattoo goo will be fine but if…[Read more]

Hi
The tattoo is totally fixable and will not be too hard to get it like the second picture you posted.
You could do the one with nails but would need to enlarge the tattoo slightly to fit around the F key.First of all I hope you don’t mind some constructive criticism.
The F key needs to be reworked so that it is sharper – get the black…[Read more]

replied to the topic how about a tattoo on the back of the head? in the forum Tattoo Ideas 16 years, 9 months ago
Hi Colossus
This is a guestimate as everybody is different and depends on location in world and sunlight strength etc.
For a covered head I would say a touch would be needed around the 10-12 year mark if you wanted to keep it really crisp.
For exposed prob talking 7 year mark.
