Weeell.. I already have a full sleeve and a knuckle tattoo. I’m planning on getting my neck, hands and rest of my knuckles (I have an idea I’m dying to get!)
But I’m waiting a few years until I know where I’m going :p Right now I’m still gonna be dependent on sporadic jobs for a while, due to studying, moving around, etc, so I’m waiting. But if I…[Read more] -

Best kind of soap to use on fresh tattoos!

The shading in the banner is killing me.
Other than that, cool tattoo. -

I have to agree!
Some of them do decent work, but it’s like they’re TRYING to do excellent work, but it’s just not quite there yet. A bit over-stretching. Some very good, some kind of bad. -

Usually if the tattoo is raised, it’s because it’s placed wrong in your skin. Too deep, too shallow, etc. Out of all my tattoos, only one is raised, and it was done by a shitty artist.
It could still be healing and go back to normal in a while, that can take some time. After 10 years.. Yeah, your artist needs to check their machine ๐ -

Well, you need to know that you can’t sleep on your right side for a couple of months. Oh, and a trick; Put a clean t-shirt on your pillow. Turn it every night. This way; Clean pillow surface for four days, only need to clean once. (yes you need to sleep on a clean surface) Be careful about hair products, perfume, headphones etc. Keep anything…[Read more]

Goood boy ๐
First thing that came to my mind when I saw your tattoo, was a metalband called Kvelertak. Their vocalist has this stuffed owl mask in sort of that position(just imagine the clock being his head..) So I just keep thinking black metal. But clearly its probably not supposed to be!
The other tattoo you posted is a new traditional one.…[Read more] -

First of all; Do not, ever ever ever, copy someone else’s tattoo!!! Removing minor details doesn’t help.
A lady in a wolfs head is a fair idea that has been used a number of times, but get a personal design.
That is a new traditional tattoo, a style I personally think looks best in color. Both ways can work. Find a good new traditional artist, and…[Read more] -

Looks good! I think it could work well with an octopus! A bit water vs air thingy.

Haha, yeah I didn’t really see it working for drunkeness either… But good to know someone tried ;D
Chrysanthemums are often used in Japanese work without being the main focus, actually. Often for adding to background etc. Not to mention, they’re great for coverups ;D
But snakes are cool! Most artists who work with japanese, old school etc,…[Read more]

Good to hear! ๐ I suppose most artists would be open to it, but I do know some who are OCD about what they use, from type of plastic to wrap work-station, what shape the ink container is, chair they sit in, etc.. I might just be traumatized, actually. Haha
Go for it, always worth a shot ๐ -
replied to the topic Could someone recommend me an artist in my area? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 12 years, 8 months ago
No he is not an artist.
The first one is a terrible copy of an old sailor jerry design, the third one is a copy from here; Dorothea Barre: The sugar skullSo eh yeah. Don’t get tattooed by him.

Hard to tell without seeing a picture.
But most likely? Yes, yes it will. It’s probably pink because your skin is mad that it was stabbed with a needle a shitload of times.
Wouldn’t recommend tattoo goo though, I got a bad reaction to it once. You could probably use something lighter now ๐ -

Just a quick note; Check with your artist about them using petroleum before hand. Some artists can get very hard to deal with if you suddenly come in, telling them you know how to do their job better than them.. ๐ If its very important, I suggest lying about allergy or something. Not saying its wrong, just.. yeah. Some are touchy :p
I would never…[Read more] -

I’m just thinking old, magnificent, Japanese.
You can find a lot of old symbolism in Japanese, many of which represent battle. Wouldn’t be obvious really to anyone but yourself.
Chrysanthemums have been known to symbolize endurance, and the flower itself to heal drunkenness. -

I was active here years ago and came back, and I still see some old faces. And man, have I learned a lot in those years I was gone! I asked stupid questions too, I still do, and I still learn a lot. Everyone needs to learn somehow, and it’s not always a lot of fun to look through old threads for two days before you find something you can relate…[Read more]

I’m a fairly curious person, so when I meet someone who dislikes tattoos, I usually ask why.
From men, I’ve heard this reason more than anything; They don’t think they could bring you home to their mom.
Not kidding. A lot of people my age seem to be perfectly okay with tattoos, but they think their family, friends etc might make it an issue if…[Read more] -

The last one, with the roses/notes, artist is Mikael Whalen, currently working at Purple Pain Tattoo in Norway. Which just so happens to be the studio I work in ๐
