It won’t take you long hanging around this forum before you’re calling a tattoo artist to book some time. Welcome.

Did you see the screaming lady on the first episode of Ink Masters? She was doing a cover-up, so she knew the pain. She walked out. I can’t believe this video of the boy is real…can it be?

You can watch episode 1 and 4 on Spike’s website. I just watched them both again. While the judges annoy me, they’re pretty spot-on with their critiques, it seems to me.

The argument that this is a tramp stamp is about as ridiculous as the “which pierced ear is the gay ear” argument. I like your idea of a tat, and I think it would look cool.

Who am I to judge? If it’s important to you, go for it. I was being a bit facetious, not usually my thing. My bad. This image makes it look rather small, would you want it larger on your shoulder? That would increase the price? Also, do you want it exactly like this, or do you give the artist stylistic license?

I must be a neophyte saying this, but I like this and other tattoo shows on tv. It may not be the best art, but it does make tattooing more a part of the mainstream. If that’s the end result of this show, then it’s a success.

You think the silence of the 182 people who’ve looked at this post and not responded is telling you something? You want help? Avoid getting this tattoo on your shoulder.

Although I don’t really understand (I am a newbie, for sure) the different types of tattoo styles, I do think I’m more attracted to American Traditional and or Japanese. I look up Irizumi and American, and those seem to be meshing what I’m seeing in my head.
I’m meeting with one of the artists (Roman) this weekend just to get his ideas.

I don’t know if you organized these like this, but it would be very interesting to see in chronological order. I like your work, and I’d like to see the progression of your skills.

I bet tattoo artists love income tax refunds…I’m sure there’s a bit of an influx when discretionary dollars come rolling in.

I like this sleeve. It’s feminine, but not girly. Thanks for sharing and good luck with your new ideas.

replied to the topic Why do others stare at people that have tattoos? in the forum General Tattoo Discussion 12 years, 3 months ago
I don’t really stare, but I do admire the work. If it’s a casual environment, I’ll ask a question to break the ice. I can immediately tell if the person is interested in chatting or if I’m a nuisance. Most often, they LOVE to chat about their ink. I’m prepping now to get my first sleeve, so I’ll be on the receiving end. I’m sure I’ll be one…[Read more]

This may seem like common sense, but I had NO idea about half of this. Here is a question. How much do you tip? Do you tip each sesson or wait until the piece is finished if it’s a multi-session piece?

I posted earlier that I was a teacher who was afraid of getting a full sleeve. Our district does not have a policy in place, but I certainly don’t see anything that bold on our staff members. So, I decided to write to the superintendent to get his blessing, if you will, before being relegated to hiding under long-sleeve shirts for the rest of my…[Read more]

I did get word back from the bossman today. He said that the belief of the district cabinet is thatvisible tattoos need to be appropriate or remain covered. He said they decided it’s not “their business” to dictate personal decisions if they don’t have a direct correlation the teachers’ ability in the classroom. I was delighted to hear this,…[Read more]
